For those of you looking to practice yoga, surf, and stay somewhere with outstanding views in one of the Top 10 Beaches in the World (Santa Teresa/Mal Pais, Forbes Magazine 2010), This is the place for YOU !

ABOUT OUR LOCATION : Dan and I chose this home because of its unique location. We are on a small hill about 5 mins drive to the bustling and fun town Santa Teresa but it feels like we are in a remote jungle seeting. It’s very quiet and relaxing. We are on a private road with only 1 other house on it and it’s down a steep hill. This is rare to find that in a popular vacation location.

Casa SAYOLITA get colorful Toucanets birds that frequent the fruit trees on this beautiful property. The house sits atop a small hill with an incredible views of the Pacific ocean. You can walk down the hill and be At the beach in 10 mins. The beaches in Mal Pais are rocky and very beautiful. Walk 5 mins further up the beach and you are at playa Carmen. An incredibly beautiful sandy beach for swimming and surfing. Further walking will take you to playa Santa Teresa. There are actually 6 beaches with different names but they are all connected so you can walk for miles. You can also drive to all the beaches in a very short time. The fish market (pescaderia) of Mal Pais is about 5 mins driving.

We just bought this house few months ago and we start a new and exciting experience. The house was completely remodeled this year and it has a bright and airy feel. The bedrooms have air conditioning but sleeping with the doors and windows open is an option that allows you to hear the gentle roar of the ocean and the early morning sounds of the howler monkeys and parakeets.

All of the doors, windows and deck in the house are custom made from teak.

The house is accomodate up to 6 people and composed of :
- full kitchen
- 1,5 bedroom with queen size bed and single bed (separed with a wall in two)
- 1 bedroom with double bed
- 1 living room with TV and sofa / bed
- 2 bathrooms
- an outside terrace patio downstairs (45m2),
- scenic terrace upstairs (45m2) with an incredible ocean view .

Feels like a ski chalet in the jungle

View is amazing! Saw a lot of monkeys! Sylvain and Elodie were amazing and very responsive and helpful! If you are from Canada the house definitely has a ski chalet feel to it. More cozy VS luxury. Be prepared for the road up! It's CRAZY! You absolutely have to have a 4x4. We considered getting an atv just to get there but once we figured out where not to bottom out we got it under control. 600 metre from the main road to the house, 4x4 low, and walking speed only up the road. Takes about 10 mins to drive the 600 metres. But it's part of the experience! And once we arrived and saw that view and sunset.... Sold! A couple extra towels would have been nice but we made due. Sylvain let us use the laundry facility which was super appreciated. Not sure if it was supposed to be included but it's in a tiny little shed outside so just be prepared. Definitely a very cool jungle house with excellent owners and service! After 2 weeks in Costa Rica I'm more aware of the road conditions but this being our first stop along the trip it was shocking! Now, eh, it's just how the roads are! Thank you Sylvain and Elodie for having us in your place! It was beautiful!

The best hosts! Super friendly and helpful while also giving us plenty of privacy. The view is spectacular. The beaches and grocery store/restaurants are nearby. You need a 4x4.

Owners are wonderful and attentive , house is beautiful, view is spectacular. Sunsets gorgeous. Roads are rough for driving and steep for walking. Nearby beaches beautiful.

The views, the gorgeous house with two decks, the monkeys and toucans right outside the door, the fantastic beaches and restaurants nearby and the charming host all add up to a perfect place to stay in Costa Rica.

A Little Cottage in Paradise

I stayed at Casa Sayulita for 5 weeks and enjoyed every minute of it!! Perfectly located just 5 min South of Santa Teresa. It was easy to pop into town for yoga, Pilates, and food but removed enough to escape the noise. It's almost impossible to take in the magnitude of the beauty that surrounds this home, so you must resign yourself to becoming apart of it. Sitting on the decks, I felt I was listening to a beautiful choir and orchestra, written and directed by Mother Nature. The music of the ocean in the background, accompanied by birds, monkeys, cicades, crickets, and frogs is something all must experience. Casa Sayulita is perfectly nestled atop a hill, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It has two large decks with hammocks, chairs, a bed, and dining table. One can live outside as easily as inside. The kitchen is wonderful, and has everything one needs to cook. The bedrooms are well appointed, and The beds and pillows are very comfortable. I was hugely grateful for the air conditioners in each of the bedrooms!! Daniel, Alex, and Sylvain were my hosts, and they are fantastic. Always there when I needed them, but gave me the privacy I came here for. They are informative, and incredibly generous with their time if needed. There was never a request that wasn't met with enthusiasm and efficiency, and if they knew I was interested in something, they made sure I was able to experience it. If you are looking for a beautiful cabin in paradise, look no further, you have found it!!!

highly recommended. we have travelled the world but I think that was the best airbnb we ever had.

the place is a dream come true. there are two floors with amazing view to the ocean. the villa has an amazing design and is surrounded by wildlife (monkeys, birds, belt animals) . serisouly if you are in the area this place is a must go! we had the best time ever and dan is an amazing host. i can not recommend a place more than this one :) book it and you will have the time of your live. thanks again for having us
