« We were attending a gig a Ludlow Castle, most accommodation was booked or expensive at Ludlow for the night of the gig so we chose to stop at Stokestay Hotel because there was a train station close that we could catch there and back. The Stokesay staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy, breakfast was excellent and bar prices good so we would not hesitate to stop there again. »

« The room was lovely, and comfortable, the staff helpful and friendly, the breakfast was excellent. The only poor thing was a very noisy fan somewhere outside my window, so I had to shut the windows on a hot night, the fan did go off, not sure what time, to be fair I do put the light out fairly early. »

« The hotel is situated in a nice rural location easily accessible from the M5 and close to the main towns of Worcestershire. I would characterise it as a gastro-pub with rooms rather than a hotel. There was some disappointment that my allocated room was completely different to the room photo on Expedia which had French windows. My room was an attic with skylights. It had unusual dimensions. « Lovely oldy worldy pub accomodation in a lovely setting right next to the river and in a small quaint village. Great Pizzas and breakfast. Very cosy. Rooms quite small but comfy beds. Would return. »

« My room was more like a small apartment which was clean & comfortable & the free breakfast was a nice bonus. I didn’t get chance to try the restaurant but it was busy and smelt delicious, overall a very good value for money stay & I’ll definitely stay at the George again if I’m in town. »

« Gorgeous lodge that is really remote that it feels like a little private area. Very clean, close to other food places. Hot tub so lovely and warm. Nicely fenced off or closed off with hedges. »

« Lovely large room. Tea and coffee facilities in room. Generously refilled daily. Very friendly and helpful staff, made us feel welcome. Bar and air conditioned restaurant serving good homemade food. Good portion sizes too. Bus stop outside. Only 15 mins into Bridgenorth which is lovely too. »

« Parking can be a problem if arriving later in the evening. Follow instructions given by owners. Breakfast is great staff friendly and helpful. Keep entry instructions handy as had a little trouble finding codes. Rooms 7 and 8 are not where you'd think ! »
