« 2nd visit to this beautiful boutique hotel. Loved the rooms,food & beautiful gardens with plenty of tables & seating areas. Staff very helpful & friendly. Car park close by you do have to pay however we downloaded app and where able to top up following morning. Very central to everything you need bars restaurants shopping and great walks near by. « Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. « Hotel short walk from station run by young couple keen to make a difference. Oozes character, surrounded by historic architecture and fits right in. Cafes, restaurants, pubs close at hand with lots of shopping close to hand. I nipped down a nearby alley each morning to enjoy a great riverside walk to the park and home for breakfast. »
« Simply superb! This traditional B&B, for me, was perfect. Louise met me at the door with a warm smile and showed me to my, quaint, comfortable room. The brass-rail bed was super comfortable and my breakfast was cooked excellently by Peter, the other half of this welcoming (and hardworking) couple. Highly recommend this place when you’re passing through Shrewsbury UK.

« Personnel au petit soin, très agréable. Des Lys frais dans le hall d'entrée embaume toute la pièce, les chambres sont mignonnes, literies confortables. Petit déjeuner de qualité: buffet + à la carte inclus, c'est très bon. Là aussi, le service et l'amabilité est au rdv.
Le seul "hic" serait le bruit dans le VMC dans la salle de bain, qui s'active dès que l'on allume la lumière, c'est assez désagréable, et le système de douche qui aurait besoin d'être rénové.

« Visiting in my own I stayed 3 nights at Prince Rupert. Fantastic location right in the centre.
I had a lovely friendly welcome, the staff at the desk were very helpful. The room is nice, small but very clean tea/coffee making facilities, very comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Good breakfasts. I had a couple of dinners at the restaurant - very friendly, good food. My only complaint is the horrible Richard Claydermanish music in the restaurant!

« My stay was very good, check in was easy and fairly quick.
Out of hours door access was explained which was pertinent to our stay so that was very helpful. However if you do return in the early hours, be aware that a lot of the doors are fire doors and slam shut making a big noise.
The shared facilities were well equipped and very clean.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Parking is free. Just be aware that all members of your party need to show their photo ID.

« This hotel is very much due a complete overhaul to bring it into the 21st century. It is generally dark without double glazing in the bedrooms which do not have good views. Have not eaten there so cannot comment on quality of the catering. »
