What a wonderful Villa and a super location with the beautiful beach nearby and lovely restaurants a stone's throw away. 14 of us staying in the villa ranging from a baby up to Grandparents and there is plenty of space in the property for everyone to do their own thing or all be together.

Wonderful house with all the family had a great time (ages ranging from 3 years to 72 years) the beach was excellent and lovely Tavernas to eat in all with in 5 mins walk from the house. The house was clean and lots of space. Would love to go back again but already booked out for our week next year 2026!!

Villa Palena was everything and more we had hoped it would be. The villa is beautiful and suits all ages. It’s so well laid out and the Villa owners have clearly thought of everything. Nothing is too much trouble for the property managers and they were instrumental in helping us organise a few things beforehand such as a yoga teacher to the premises for our group, an exceptional caterer on a couple of nights, boat trips and an amazing bike ride on e-bikes for the day. Within a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach, shallow waters with very reasonably priced Sunbeds (recommend booking these when you arrive at the beach to guarantee a sunbed). Lovely restaurants close by. You won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful villa and location

Clean, superb facilities, unbelievable location. Could have done without the cleaners coming at 8:50 though when check out was at 10. BUT hugely recommended.

Really lovely accommodation and location

The villa felt like home for a week for a three generation family. Well appointed, regular and very friendly housekeeping, this place provided everything we needed in a beautiful, and relatively quiet bay. Recommend a car for access to supermarket. We would book this place again.

Tolles Ferienhaus mit sehr gutem Service

Wir als Familie mit 15 Personen hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in der Villa Palena. Hierbei hervorzuheben ist die geschmackvolle Ausstattung bei der es wirklich an nichts fehlte. Ebenfalls betonen möchten wir die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft von Sofia. Wir würden dieses Haus jederzeit wieder buchen.

Villa Palena - simply the best !!

Beautiful property with lots of space, great pool and everything you needed inside and out. A 5 minute walk to the beaches and restaurants. It was great for us all as a family as the villa had everything we needed. The kids loved the games room when they’d had enough in the pool. Beautiful.

Absolutely Perfect

I have high expectations and this property exceeded every expectation. The communication with the property manager was a 10/10 and they are able to accommodate everything from groceries upon arrival, to car services, in house massages in the hotel grade spa room within the house, and private boat tours. Our housekeeper was the best! The central location of the house was PERCECT. The 2 min walk to the beach was exactly want we wanted in between the days of exploring this amazing island! The beach provided perfect restaurant options ! I cant say enough about this property and location and everything that was provided with our stay. I truley hope that i am able to return!

A wonderful holiday at Villa Palena!

Villa Palena is a lovely, spacious, light, bright property. It provided us wth everything we could have asked for, from comfortable en suite bedrooms to a superbly well-equipped kitchen, to a marvellous indoor games room and spa, to a beautiful pool and surrounding sunbathing area... and even a mini-football pitch! So, there was plenty on offer for every age group. Last but not least, we were made very, very welcome by the housekeeper and her staff, who could not have done more to make us feel at home and to keep the place spick and span!

perfect week in Chania

This is a fantastic property! The management company was great. They arranged boat trips, scuba diving, private chefs and more. We were 3 families with 7 teenage kids. Everyone had a fantastic time. You will want a car if you are going to explore some of the beautiful beaches on the west coast of Crete.

Amazing stay!

Traveled with 14 adults and there was more than enough space for everyone. Everyone really enjoyed this house and pool area! We also enjoyed the beach and beachside tavernas all within a short walk. Best of all were the services provided by Etouri. The housekeeping staff were so pleasant, and Etouri's concierge service made everything so easy to plan! They helped us book all of our activities, dinner reservations, van transportation, you name it! The folks at Etouri were such a joy to work with every step of the way.

Great stay - great location - great house

We had a family of 14 stay at the Villa. The villa had everything we could ever ask for and more. There were even restaurants in walking distance. The kids had a great time with the outdoor area and the basement/spa. We will definitely put this on our list to stay again if we ever return.

Exceptional stay

I am struggling to find works to describe our stay. We have spent last 5 years organising business trips which ranged from 16-30+ people and this has been an absolute show stopper. The villa itself is absolutely beautiful, so close to the beach and some brilliant restaurants. The on hand service from Etouri is excellent to the point we have already booked another stay with them for next year. Sofia who manages the villa is ever so lovely and ever so helpful with anything. Would 100% recommend the villa and providers for anyone looking for a fantastic holiday. Loukoulos & the boat rental just down the road are both amazing.

Wonderful Villa Palena

We where a group of 13 friends (6 couples and one single) from 🇮🇸 and 🇳🇴 and we chose Villa Palena due to the location. 4 minutes to walk to the beach and 3-4 restaurants, and only 20 minutts with excellent small bus to Chania. The house functioned excellent and the few problems we had was solved almost immediately. Yes, we would have liked to have more capacity for toasting bread a more coffee pots, but this is only details. The pool was great, and everything in the house worked perfectly incl. the air conditioning (we had up to 37 degrees)☀️ Most of all we where very satisfied with all the great service Etori (conserige service) provided👍👍 Finally , and importantly, we have to give Sophia and her team the highest ranking for excellent service and very positive attitude👌👍 We all left Villa Palena with this; yes we would like to come again👍👍

Wonderful family holiday

A beautiful Villa and pool in a superb location, just a short walk from the beach and 3 Tavernas, all which serve lovely food. Our favourite Taverna was Loukoulos, the staff are very friendly and the food delicious. There is a range of watersports on the beach - paddle boarding, kayaking, pedalo's, fishing boats to hire which kept a wide range of ages active. The sea was clear and warm, great for children. Etouri the rental company are superb and very helpful. We all really enjoyed our stay in Marathi.

Best of the best!!

We absolutely loved our stay here! We were a large group of about 10 people and the accommodations for all of us were amazing! The staff went above and beyond and were there to help with any questions we had. The location of the home was absolutely amazing, right across the street from the beach. It was truly like staying in paradise. It is a close driving distance from most shops, and there are many restaurants across the stress on the beach. The home was incredibly clean and included so many amenities. We absolutely loved our stay and cannot wait to be back soon!

Family holiday

We took our children, grandchildren, sister & brother in law on a holiday to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and what fabulous time we had. The beautiful Villa Palena had everything to cater for a large group of various ages, with a fabulous pool area with outside kitchen/BBQ area which we used constantly, and lots of other amenities to keep everyone of all ages entertained. The beautifully furnished bedrooms all have their own en-suites-a must with such a large group, and the house was equipped with everything we could wish for. Sophia was on hand to help with lots of information and kept the house immaculately clean. The location is family orientated with a lovely sandy beach with beds & brollys and 3 or 4 restaurants/bars are only a 5 minute walk. A car is a must for food shopping as there are no shops within walking distance but we just hired a small runaround for essentials. The taxi service is good for a visit to and Chania town (only 20mins away) and is so pretty with its lovely cobbled streets. Prior to travelling, the agent/owner was always prompt in answering emails and was happy to give us lots of information I would thoroughly recommend Villa Palena for a family holiday

Wonderful Villa Palena

The villa is gorgeous. All the bedrooms are beautiful and the kids loved the basement with the pool table etc. The outdoor furniture and pool are lovely. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach and plenty of tavernas. The sea was crystal clear and fantastic swim in. As there was no local bakery we sometimes bought bread and tzatziki as takeaway and had it as lunch at the villa. Sofia is an absolute gem, came in most days and would get us any shopping we needed. Sofia was so very kind, helpful and generous. We all agreed it was the best holiday we have had and would love to return.

We just got back from a weeks stay at Villa Palena. The property is stunning and we all enjoyed our stay. The pictures do not do it justice it is truly gorgeous and has literally everything you need. Sophia was amazing if we needed anything extra. We also loved the area gorgeous beaches and wonderful tavernas. We would book again in a heartbeat!!

A perfect villa in every way

We were a party of 8 adults and 4 children and could not recommend this Villa enough. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, in fact everything is to a very high standard. The outside area is lovely, with a great pool. I have to specifically mention Sophia too, who came in every day to clean, not only did she keep the Villa immaculate but she was so helpful and friendly, and the children loved her. The location is perfect, being only a short walk to a beautiful beach and a few tavernas and bar. The Etouri Team were really helpful, quick and efficient throughout, from answering questions when I was booking, to arranging a transfer minibus, and we also had the private chef (Naked Chef - the company, not literally!) come to the Villa to cook one evening, which I would thoroughly recommend. Everything is catered for, and it made for a fantastic holiday."
