Lodges in Centraal West Virginia

'Beautiful place with friendly staff.'

'Very clean. Family friendly and beautiful scenery. We were only there for a 2 day weekend and didn’t get to take advantage of everything the resort offered like the pool and the grounds walking paths. I plan on returning for a longer stay in the spring/ summer. Bonus - I’m from Ohio and it doesn’t take long to get there - we can drive . The only thing- I think the restaurant is a little pricey. 38 a person for the buffet- it was good food but not 40 a person good . I’m not sure about regular...

'Our stay was excellent. Convenient location and very peaceful.'

'Nice place and will be glad to rent one of their properties in the future.'

'The main reason I gave lower ratings on some of the survey questions was due to an issue during check-in. I had already been charged by the Vrbo host, but when I arrived at Stonewall Resort, I was told there was no card on file and that I would need to pay again. It appeared that Stonewall needed to process payment through the host rather than charge me directly.I tried explaining to the Stonewall staff that a third party was handling the payment, but they were unable to verify or locate that...

'Great place clean easy process.Nice country setting along the river.Would stay again.'

'Host was extremely responsive before, during and after the stay. Facilities were very clean and basic. It met our needs, which was a place to sleep. Location was excellent (4 miles to downtown Elkins). Fridge and microwave were nice amenities. Free coffee and tea were appreciated. The rocking chairs outside on the screen porch were nice for morning coffee as well as the terrace overlooking the river. It was quiet and peaceful. No barking dogs or children running around.'

'Room was just as pictured and described on line. Everything was clean and room was well stocked with everything I needed. Owners were in constant contact to make sure I didn't need anything. Great Wi-Fi service in room. Close to Elkins but far enough away to be in the country. For those that like to fish you can walk to a great trout stream which is just over the bank from your room. You are just down the hollow from the Bowden Trout Hatchery. Great place to stop by for the kids and kids at...

'Unfortunately, I did not ask, but the room was on the second floor up a flight of stairs, and I have mobility impairments, so it was difficult accessing the room. Otherwise everything was good and communication with the owner was prompt and helpful.'

'It was relaxing and romantic!!! Beautiful property in a wonderful setting. The lodge was cozy and decorated perfectly for the setting. Very close to the spa and salt cave, both of which I highly recommend. Walls are a bit thin between lodges. The host was great at communicating with us and all the staff on the property were very friendly. Wonderful place to spend time as a couple.'
