A very lovely cottage in a beautiful, private, location. Everything and more listed was ready and available for our stay. We took day trips to Bayfield and Goderich...very cute shops and cafes.... but the cottage was so cozy, we didn't want to stay out very long. Between the hot tub and private beach firepit...it was paradise.The host was very quick to respond and had the place ready with such a warm welcome. Can't wait to check our their other locations soon.

Very comfortable cottage with stunning view of Lake Huron

This compact two bedroom cottage is very comfortable and has all of the needed kitchen items. Wifi and TV reception are great. The highlight is the large deck, with stunning views of Lake Huron and hot tub. Easy trips to Bayfield and Goderich.

The property was simple but had everything we needed. It is on an amazing secluded area of beach. The water is lovely (but very cold at the time we visited), shallow, and rocky at first. The sunsets are incomparable. I would definitely book this again.

Perfect Getaway

We had a great time. House was just the right size for the two of us. The deck was huge and the hot tub was wonderful. The view was amazing. Bayfield and Goderich are lovely small towns with friendly people. We hope to return in the future.

An amazing, perfect getaway!

Spent 4 nights here for an anniversay getaway weekend and it was the perfect spot for us. Clean, comfortable, quiet with an amazing view of the lake and sunsets, and all the ammenities you need. Clear and open communication with hosts prior and during our stay. Guide provides and answers for any questions and offers lots of suggestions for activities, restaurants and things to do Absolutely loved our time here and will definitely return in the future!

Summer Stay

We really enjoyed our 1 week stay from 17-24 Aug at this property. The listing info and pictures were an accurate reflection on what we saw and experienced, and the focal point we dealt with on the booking was fantastic in keeping us up to date and informed with useful info. A very nice property with stunning views of the sunsets on Lake Huron, and the city of Bayfield was an excellent place to relax and get into vacation mode. We would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Spot Cliffside Bayfield

My wife and I brought our dog and stepdaughter to the Summerset Cabin outside Bayfield It was well kept, and a great area to explore Pup friendly pub. The Black Dog in Bayfield Wonderful Bakery in Goderich Wonderful property with a stairway to a very nice sand beach We loved our trip! Thank you again

Calming getaway

A perfect place to just chill and do nothing. Beautiful views, the sound of the waves on the lake, and a hot tub What more can you ask for if your goal is to just take a calming break from the stresses and strains of work. Will definately be back.

The Summerset provided a sweet summer get-away in a well equipped lovely cottage. The deck is wonderful and we spent most of our time there when not down by the water, accessed directly by the stairs - (the pup loved to wade in the waters of Lake Huron and roll in the sand). There was usually a nice breeze off the lake, making it comfortable and relatively bug-free on the deck. Close to Bayfield, which we were delighted to find had many great restaurants (as we really were not interested in cooking). The CottageStays crew were very responsive and attentive, when needed. Thanks for a very relaxing week!

Wonderful relaxing spot for a mini vacay!

My daughter and I stayed at Summerset Cottage in Bayfield, ON from a Friday to a Monday. What a wonderful little cottage with big personality and stunning surroundings! The deck and view of the lake makes this little gem stand out. The hot tub is an excellent way to unwind before bedtime and a day spent on the beach. The inside of the cottage is quaint and cozy. Had the best sleep ever. The surroundings inside and out are immaculate and the check-in check-out service is very very simple. Jen was wonderful and kept me updated from date of booking to date of departure. She texted and checked up on us to ensure we were enjoying ourselves and if we needed anything. Felt like home. I highly recommend this little cottage with BIG charm for anyone who needs a little R&R!

This house is beautiful along with the property. If you are bringing a large party to just hang out or host an event, highly recommend for the accommodating space that it provides. If you are planning on booking for the lake experience I DO NOT recommend. The location of the driveway is nearly impossible with a boat and trailer. The dock is in horrible condition and is not safe to allow children to walk on. Trees and pipes coming through the water all around the dock so you cannot swim in that area. They say the dock is under construction but it appears to just be abandoned. We do wish we were aware of this prior to booking online. We get things happen but that was our reason for booking is to be able to swim and feel safe while doing so.

The perfect couple's getaway!

We loved our stay at Sommerset Cottage! The moment we opened we opened the front door, we were greeted with a spectacular view of the lake and some cozy music that truly gave it that "resort-vibe". Everything was as advertised. The deck surpassed our expectations - it's actually much bigger than it appears in photos and the view of the lake was so lovely. The location is so peaceful, quiet and perfect for relaxing. The stairs to the beach were sturdy and it's not as far down as it appears. The trek up the stairs from the beach is quite steep, so just be cautious and take your time. We spent most of our time up on the deck just enjoying the view and the peaceful ambience. The hot tub was such a nice addition. We enjoyed it most nights as we were there in June and the evenings were still cool. The location of the cottage was so handy - only 5 minutes direct to Bayfield and about 10 minutes to Goderich. The cottage isn't huge but it is so well laid out and has everything you could need for a little getaway. The communication before checking in and day of check out was fantastic. This definitely made it stand out from other rentals! We can't wait to return!
