  • We wonen in het huis wanneer we geen reserveringen ontvangen en dit geeft het een onfeilbare familie warmte.
     Ingericht met wat meubels van onze grootouders, maar met 'moderne' bedden en daarnaast een comfortabele tuinset, (ligstoelen, fauteuils, eettafels, binnen en buiten).
    Casa MARE CELESTE is een oude stenen boerderij volledig gerenoveerd en uitgerust met een houten veranda.
    Het stijgt 350 m. hoog op de prachtige zee van Cefalù en op een klein strand (zie bijgevoegde foto) dat op 2 km afstand ligt op 10 minuten afstand en hiervoor heeft u een auto nodig.
    Dit prachtige zeegezicht nodigt je zeker uit om in echte ontspanning rond de faraglioni te zwemmen.
    Het huis is gelegen op een plateau van 1800 vierkante meter, met ZWEMBAD in het midden van de tuin, 360 ° uitzicht. Uitzicht op zee en de bergen.
    In totale rust is de villa omgeven door olijfbomen, ver van spoorwegen en snelwegen (die op de kaart te zien zijn, maar met verschillende hoogtes) verdeeld over twee niveaus met 3 slaapkamers (2 dubbele en 1 viervoudige) (de viervoudige bestaat uit 2 eenpersoonsbedden en 1 tweepersoonsbed) voor in totaal 8 plaatsen
    Het heeft 02 wc-badkamers met douche (één blauw op de begane grond, de andere groen op de eerste verdieping)
    Een woonkamer met een ontspanningsruimte met banken en satelliet-tv, WiFi-internet. Een grote typische bakstenen keuken met Santo Stefano-keramiek en een vaatwasser.
    Aan de ene kant van de panoramische tuin is er een rustieke barbecue en aan de achterkant van het huis een comfortabele (buiten) douche met warm water.
    Het bijzondere van het huis Mare Cielo is de optimale geografische ligging om de nabijgelegen stad CEFALU (3 km) te bereiken met zijn majestueuze Arabisch-Normandische kathedraal, beschreven door UNESCO. MENSELIJK ERFGOED, Monreale en zijn kathedraal UNESCO MENSELIJK ERFGOED, Eolische eilanden, SLAGPLAN 1600 meter boven de zeespiegel in het natuurpark Madonne (wintersportplaats, met 2-zits CHAIRLIFT-stoel het hele jaar geopend, in zomer mountainbiken.
    TINDARIS met zijn Griekse theater en ZWART MADONNA, Taormina, ETNA-vulkaan met de mogelijkheid van rondleidingen, Villa del Casale (ENNA), Agrigento Vallei van de Tempels,
    Palermo: van de toeristische haven tot het Koninklijk Paleis, via de historische Corso Vittorio Emanuele en de kathedraal.

Mooi huis op schitterende locatie

Ruim sfeervol ingericht huis met ruime overkapping en terras en zwembad. Fantastisch uitzicht op zee vanaf 350 m hoogte. Rustige plek ongeveer 4 km van Cefalu vandaan. De laatste 800 m zijn erg stijl imhoog en vormen telkens weer een uitdaging om er te komen. De eigenaar, Franceso, is een hartelijke man die je graag wil helpen.

What a haven. We loved Francisco and Mariana’s place. It was close enough to Cefalu to enjoy the town and the hill towns, but a complete paradise of quiet and contemplation of the sea.

We had an amazing stay in Cefalu ! The house is amazing and has everything you need, the view is breathtaking and the host, Francesco, is one of the friendliest person I met in my life ! We had the best time sitting in the pool and enjoying the view, especially at sunrise. I highly recommend, and cannot wait to come back !

Haus mit Charme zum Wohlfühlen

Wir waren als Familie mit Kindern und Großeltern 5 Tage dort und wollten gar nicht abreisen. Toller Ausblick, Nähe zu Cefalu, ein sehr herzlicher Gastgeber. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

This is the perfect place and you would be so fortunate to spend some time at this beautiful oasis. We were looking for the best spot to enjoy a week with our mom for her first trip to Italy, so it had to be special. Not only is the home full of charm with a gorgeous view of the ocean, the shaded patio and perfectly sized pool tempted us to extend our stay. The best part of all was our host, Francesco. He made us feel like part of the family and offered great suggestions for what to enjoy in beautiful Cefalu. I would absolutely recommend this special place without any hesitation. We made memories to last a lifetime here and cannot wait to return. Stop searching and book this property, just not when we plan to add it to our calendar!

Francesco personally greeted us at his beautiful home and explained how everything worked. He also got some basic groceries for us to make it convenient for our first morning there. He set things up specially for the 18 month old baby traveling with us. One day when I was ill he offered to take me to a doctor or get medicine for me. He is a kind and generous host. The home is very comfortable and has everything you need for a most enjoyable stay.

This place was absolutely wonderful! It has the perfect picturesque look of a house tucked in the Sicilian hillside but with all the amenities needed to keep you cozy and comfortable. The outside view is also stunning. We bought fruits, cheeses, wine and prosecco in town and then had a wonderful dining experience at the house with the family overlooking the sea. My teenage daughters loved all of it. And the biggest bonus? The host, Francesco, is wonderful. He helped us every step of the way and made us feel like family. We’ll definitely be back.

Quand vous louer cette maison, vous ne faites pas que louer une maison, vous louez tout l'accueil de l'Italie, la gentillesse, la beauté esthétique d'un lieu, l'art de vivre à l'italienne et tout ce qui fait de l'Italie ce pays rêvé.Francesco est un hôte sincères, sympathique, accueillant et bienveillant.Sa maison est tout simplement jolie avec une vue imprenable sur la côte sicilienne..Il ne manque rien dans cette maison, et avec un peu de chance vous pourrez manger les mandarines directement de l'arbre et mettre un peu de la magnifique huile d'olive qu'il presse avec ses oliviers sur votre salade.Nous avons tout simplement adoré cet endroit et le recommandons sans aucune réserve.PARADISIO!!!!!!

Far from the madding crowd

An absolute gem of a place. Well equipped property, inside and out. Owners (Francesco and Marianna) are deservedly proud of this quaint property and gardens. Swimming pool and patio immaculate. Indoor and outdoor shower rooms. Car needed as location is 3.6 miles from Cefalu town centre. Highly recommended and Francesco, provided the warmest welcome, a fabulous bottle of local wine, and took us on a personal tour of Palermo. His hospitality was beyond our expectation. Would also recommend the supermarket Gourmet Deco Cefalu - Waitrose on steroids!

Beautiful Hilltop Villa With Amazing Views

We were a party of 6 including my wife and I, our three adult kids, and my mother. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful stone house perched over the town and coast of Cefalu. Francesco could not have been more gracious and responsive. He arranged for a chef who cooked us a lovely seafood dinner, he made recommendations and responded immediately to any questions. The property and gardens are amazing. But we were also quite content to stay in the house during a heavy rain day. The road that approaches the house is quite steep and a little tricky. We highly recommend this location.

Prachtig huis. Mooie omgeving!

Heel mooi huis. Prachtig gelegen met geweldig uitzicht. Voorjaar in Cefalu is heerlijk. Huis van alle gemakken voorzien. Hartelijke eigenaar die gevoel voor smaak heeft. Dit zie je overal terug, van de inrichting van het huis het overdekte terras tot aan de mooi aangelegde tuin met heerlijk zwembad. Grazie Francesco...alla prossima!!!

Mare Cielo: een paradijs!

We hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad in dit prachtige huis op een adembenemende plek. Het begon al met de zeer gastvrije ontvangst door Francesco (hij stond ons bij het begin van Cefalu al op te wachten!) en zijn vrouw (die ons spaghetti en allerlei eten en drinken gaf bij aankomst). Het uitzicht vanaf het terras is onbeschrijfelijk en de kinderen (en de ouders en opa en oma natuurlijk ook) hebben genoten van het net aangelegde zwembad met heerlijke ligbedden. Het huis is schoon, keurig onderhouden en met stijl ingericht en biedt alles wat je nodig hebt. Het huis ligt vlak bij Cefalu: een zeer gezellig pittoresk plaatsje met leuke winkelstraatjes, restaurantjes en een mooi strand. Kortom: een aanrader voor iedereen!

Vacances en famille

Très belle maison avec vue magnifique. Cefalu est une très jolie cité médicale et balnéaire. Nombreux commerces. La route d’accès est impressionnante et nécessite une voiture haute mais on s’y habitue. Piscine très agréable. Pas de lave vaisselle. Très bon accueil de Marianna et Francesco. On recommande !

Fabulous!

We throughly enjoyed our stay in Sicily and would highly recommend staying here. The villa itself is wonderfully rustic and authentic and is equipped with everything you could possibly need and more! A real home from home. Francesco is a fantastic host who greeted us with a warm welcome and was attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Cefalu was beautiful and we also spent a lovely evening in nearby pituresque Castelbuono (an excellent recommendation by Francesco). We also enjoyed exploring other parts of the island (a car is a must) and the fantastic nearby beaches and the villa was always a welcome sight to return to. We fell in love with Sicily and wouldn't hesitate to stay again! Karl, Mel and family.

Highly recommended!

We had a lovely stay at Francesco’s house. The location is perfect, calm and quiet with an amazing view, but still close to the main attractions in Cefalu. The house was clean and practical with loads of nice seating areas outside to enjoy the view and the pool. Francesco was a fantastic host, a great communicator, and overall lovely person - always available for questions and assistance.

Amazing

Stop looking and just book this. Beautiful, comfortable Italian farmhouse. Wonderful stone walls and beams inside. Comfortable, quality furnishings. Many beautiful antiques. Waist-deep pool. Amazing outdoor spaces & living with plenty of shade or sun to enjoy the beautiful view. Beautiful landscape and gardens. Everything you could possibly need. So peaceful and quiet yet only 10 minutes to town, good restaurants, lots of activities. Owner is amazing, kind, so helpful. Stocked us with groceries for our first evening and morning since we were getting in late. He would have done more had we asked. Like having our own Italian home. We absolutely loved it!

wonderful house and garden with a magnificent view. Rent a small car with a 4w for the transportation up the hill. Francesco is a lovely host and very helpful!
