Just 20 minutes from Carcassonne and its famous citadel, this charming, characterful vacation rental is located in the historic village of Caunes-Minervois. Welcome to Caunes-Minervois, famous for its pink marble quarries and its Benedictine abbey, a jewel of the Aude region’s heritage. This authentic village, nestled at the foot of the Montagne Noire, is the ideal starting point for exploring the landscapes of the Minervois, its renowned vineyards, and its iconic sites such as the Cité de Carcassonne, the Canal du Midi, and Notre-Dame du Cros. Numerous hiking trails are accessible directly from the cottage, and you’ll find restaurants, shops, and artisans in the village to enhance your stay. The ground-floor cottage is ideal for a couple or a small family looking to explore the Minervois. The cottage features: _ A bright living area with a sitting area and a comfortable sofa bed (to accommodate 1 additional person upon request), and a fully equipped kitchenette, _ A bathroom with a toilet, _ A bedroom with a 140-cm bed, opening directly onto the courtyard. Outside, the small courtyard (12 m²) is furnished with patio furniture and a gas grill. Parking is convenient: there is a parking lot directly across from the cottage, and additional parking is available a short distance away in the village. In winter, a heating fee of 60 € per week is charged for oil-fired heating.
