Great spot out the Cape. 3 bedroom house, great views, overlooking the Ocean with the 3 Steeples and the Famous hole in the rock. , Best two person shower with a view. Just a short stroll to the stunning Seal colony walkway leading to great surf spots, Tauranga bay and nine mile. A short walk to the famous Star tavern for some good service, local beers and food. I own a surf school so if you want a lesson or just to hire let me know, we also have paddleboards to explore the stunning rivers.

Excellent location and advise

Great set up for a group of 6. We enjoyed the fire as the evening was cold. The walk to the nearby Star Tavern was a bonus and we enjoyed some West Coast hospitality. A visit to the lighthouse and also the seal colony highly recommended.

Great place to stay and comfortable for a couple of couples. Shame the heaters are at the end of their used by date and didn’t really have much effect on the first night. We burnt plenty of wood the first night to heat the house up as was reasonably chilly the first night. Thankfully the sun came out for the next few days and only needed the fire at night time. We burnt all the firewood that we could find in the 4 nights we were there. Couldn’t get the range hood to go and there are wires sticking out of it and not terribly clean. Perhaps the purchase of a bottle opener would be helpful and a serving spoon. TV only has Netflicks and TV 3 but couldn’t get it to go as browser needed up dating. Book has a few pages doubled up perhaps some explanation as what you can get on the tv and how it works would mean you don’t need to contact manger about it Beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

Stunning Views

Comfortable, spacious house that is positioned so well for the sun and views with generous decks and seating. We enjoyed the log fire too - great stack of wood supplied. Thank you Ray. The four of us enjoyed this luxury after our four days of a tramping trip.

The house was well appointed and clean. The grounds were lovely! The views...... superb! While there were other houses in the area, it felt very private. Can't wait until we book a return. And, oh yeah, the natives are extremely friendly!

Great stay - loved the views & really appreciated the fire! Kitchen was well equipped. the bush/shrub in front of dining room could do with a trim back to maximise on the wonderful views. Only thing missing was a hairdryer but no biggie. Loved listening to the sea & waves crashing below. Thank you for a lovely place to have a holiday, we really enjoyed it!

Awesome relaxing spot

Sweet location for surfing, walking, mountaing biking. The house was very clean and comfy. Comms with Ray were easy. Great views over the water from the house, nice little walks to the beach and the local pub.

Amazing

Our family just spent a week here. The property has the most amazing view, with a fantastic beach for the kids to play on and explore. There is a lighthouse up the road which the kids loved walking up to at sunset. The master bedroom is simply breathtaking. We also experienced dolphins and Orcas in the bay out the front, and world class waves are minutes away by car. We walked up to the Star Tavern for dinner most nights which does great homemade fish & chips and burgers. Ray the property owner has an intimate knowledge of the local area and is a great to deal with. I would also highly recommend putting the kids into the surf school that Ray, can put you onto. This is hands down one of the best places to stay on the West Coast.

Large family house in great location

Highly recommend. Very easy process and good communication with host. Large spacious house with big comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Great master bedroom and en-suite area upstairs. Wonderful view and quiet location. Easy walk to Lighthouse and 3 minutes walk from local pub.
