Happy House was built in 1913 and retains its original character, including squeaky hardwood floors, plaster walls, and smaller size rooms. The third sleeping room, second bathroom, workspace, laundry, and children’s area are downstairs. The lower level is comfortable and functional but less extensively renovated than the main floor. The third bed is a sofa bed rather than a standard mattress (still very comfortable!).
All bedding is premium cotton.

On-street parking is free upon guest registration. Our neighborhood is very quiet, and pedestrian-friendly. There are also lots of walking paths in all directions.

We are toddlers and kids-friendly! We can provide upon request a full size crib with baby linens, a pack & play, and a changing table. Also we have available a high chair and kids-friendly plastic cups, plates and utensils. The living room shelves are stocked with kids books, board games and drawing pads.

We love to garden, so if you stay in the house during the summer, the front of the house is usually full of lovely flowers and greenery.

This is a genuine century-home experience: original woodwork, fireplace, leaded glass, clawfoot tub, and warm character.
