Sehr schöne ländliche Lage

Von Podere Montisi aus lassen sich mit der Bahn oder Auto alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten der Nord-Toskana gut erreichen. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber.

Amazing, Peaceful Country stay

My family and I stayed a few day while visiting Florence and the Cinque Terre. We loved Barbara and her lovely farm. It was cozy and everything we needed.

A tranquil, ideallic Tuscan property

Powdered Montisi is a dreamy property. The host is so gracious and loves to share their knowledge of Italian agriculture and their own farm. The actual property is beautiful inside and out. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy, with many beautiful views.

Genau das, was wir gesucht hatten

Eine wunderschöne Ferienwohnung - mit viel Liebe zum Detail - in ruhiger Lage. Florenz ist komfortabel mit der Regionalbahn zu erreichen. Barbara und ihre Familie sind sehr aufmerksam und unglaublich nett. Und Balu und unser Hund Isla haben sich auch bestens verstanden. Gerne wieder!

Lovely oasis in the countryside

Barbara and her family could not be any kinder or more hospitable. They have created a beautiful, cozy, and comfortable space for guests to enjoy peace and tranquility outside of the city. The apartment is well-equipped for long stays and also has lovely outdoor spaces to relax. We feel very fortunate to have met such a wonderful host (who even rescued us when we go a flat tire). Thank you, Barbara and family <3

Beautiful, peaceful and fascinating

Our first agrotourismo vacation, and we're hooked. Florence was an easy ride (bus, train or car) but the contented peace of Podere Montisi soaked into our souls. Our hosts were delightful, available but not intrusive, deeply knowledgeable and insightful. Do not expect a spa treatment, and please don't come here to party, but come for modern rural Italy, in all its complexity, charm and beauty.

Relax in paradise

First off, the host, Barbara, is so nice and accommodating. She really cares about your stay and treats you well with her warm hospitality. The setting is so very peaceful after a bustling day in Florence. Just sit back and relax on the patio and take in the beautiful scenery all around you. The kitchen is well equipped which was important to me. If there is something you might need, Barbra will kindly try to accommodate. We stayed for 10 days and loved our time here. Thank you Barbara! We miss you already!

Thank you Barbara for all you did to make our first visit to Italy very memorable!!

Podere Montisi was very comfortable…felt homey!! We had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay! The beds were quite comfortable and the villa very clean! Barbara and family were gracious hosts and so helpful with everything we needed! It is in the country so a car is needed…try to get one at the airport as it didn’t work out for us in Prato. We found out the hard way taxis are not as reliable as we are used to!! Thank goodness for Barbara and her husband! We had a wonderful time there!!!!

Beautiful Area, Comfortable House

The area is beautiful and quiet, a stone's throw away from Florence and the autostrada. It's a comfortable apartment and we ejoyed our stay. We were disappointed to learn that the apartment was not independent of the rest of the house but was more like staying in a guest suite as the family continued to live all around us. Additionally, the ad says that the apartment has both air conditioning and a washing machine but actually has neither. Barbara was a lovely host and provided great service, and information. She is very nice and helpful and truly wants her guests to enjoy themselves. It is the right place for the right people but it was not what we expected.

Des vacances de rêve en Toscane

La maison de Barbara est une magnifique bâtisse ancienne entièrement rénovée et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Tres spacieuse, une grande pièce à vivre et une cuisine bien équipée. Deux grandes chambres avec 2 salles d'eau très pratiques. La maison jouxte celle des propriétaires mais est totalement independante et Barbara et sa famille sont adorables. Tres discrets, vous aurez des petites surprises comme un pot de confiture de la ferme ou des tomates du jardin. Comme indiqué dans l'annonce pas besoin de climatisation avec les murs tres epais. Nous y etions en plein mois d'août et nous étions à laise dans la maison. Enfin elle est idéalement situee pour visiter Florence (à 25mn en train depuis la gare de Calenzano) et le reste de la Toscane. Merci encore à Barbara de son merveilleux accueil !

Whilst the peoperty is well appointed we hadn't realised when we booked that it was below the living areas of the main house. As such we experienced a lot of noise from above and on a couple of occasions this lasted into the early hours. The apartment is also very dark since the windows are small. This makes it cooler in the summer but we felt that it was a bit claustrophobic. There is no hot tub as advertised or at least none that we saw or were offered. Many of the reviews note that Barbara is very friendly and welcoming. We certainly agree with that and she was very quick to respond to questions. Unfortunately though we never got to meet her as she was away at the time we stayed. Overall whilst we enjoyed our stay at Barbara's apartment near Florence the property was not as good as the photos and prevous reviews had suggested.

Que Bella!

Where to start...Barbara and family are incredibly generous and gracious hosts. Our family feels so lucky to have shared their home for the few days we did. Driving down their majestic cypress lined drive seemed like we were entering another world. Once at the home the star of the property, Baloo the giant bear of a Bernese Mountain dog, immediately captured our hearts and attention. Baloo, the goodest of boys, kept us entertained and provided an extra level of comfort you will not find elsewhere. The home is large, yet very comfortable, keeping five us happily together. The views must been seen in person to fully appreciate as do the breakfasts. Please do yourself a favor and indulge in the homemade breads provided. The restaurant at the bottom of the hill (easily walkable) was something out of a movie...more Bernese Mountain dogs, attentive staff, incredible ambiance and of course outstanding food. We left with the whole staff, including the little girl (Anna?) bidding us Ciao! as we left completely satisfied with our pasta, wine and tiramisu lunch. In order to get to this property you will need a car as it is 10 minutes or so to the Calenzano train station. The train to and from Firenze (Florence) was an easy and cheap ride, an excellent way to see the city while enjoying the tranquility of Tuscany. We will be back!

De woning

De woning is mooi gelegen zoals op de foto te zien is. Jammer genoeg kon je niet altijd rustig genieten van dat uitzicht, omdat er zeer geregeld een grote St. Bernard rondliep. Een heel lieve hond, maar wel één die vaak in de buitenruimte waar wij zaten (vlak naast ons) zijn kleine of grote boodschap deed. Dit was duidelijk te ruiken. Je moest dus uitkijken om niet per ongeluk op een grote boodschap te stappen. Wilden daarom niet in het grasgedeelte zitten. Wij hebben daarover gereclameerd. De eigenaar probeerde er wel wat aan te doen, door de hond soms binnen te houden, maar er was geen doeltreffende afscheiding. We konden daarom niet op het gras zitten. Verder vonden wij, dat het tuinmeubilair erg te wensen over liet. Er was een bistrotafeltje met 4 dito stoeltjes, die niet bepaald comfortabel zijn. Totaal ongeschikt om met 3 personen aan te eten (huis voor 5 pers!). Verder nog een houten bank en 2 houten fauteuils. Leuk, maar zonder de benodigde kussens (slechts 2 kleine). Ook binnen vonden wij de de bank en 2 andere stoeltjes (soort filmset stoeltjes) verre van comfortabel om langere tijd in de avond op te zitten. De eigenaresse was erg vriendelijk en heeft verschillende malen heerlijke streekprodukten gegeven, maar dat kon de irritatie over de andere punten jammer genoeg niet echt wegnemen. Wij hebben trouwens niets gezegd over het meubilair, omdat we al zo vaak moesten klagen over de hond. Verder waren er nog 3 paar poezen met schattige kleintjes, maar de grote wilden wel steeds naar binnen. We konden de deur dus nooit open laten.

Taste of Tuscany

A wooded glen of Cyprus trees secludes this Italian farm home, encompassed by lush foliage, olive trees and vines - dripping with the fruit of Tuscany. Barbara, along with her family, is a kind and generous host. We look forward to visiting again sometime down the road!

Under the Tuscan Sun, Really!

If you want to experience Tuscany, this breathtaking property, owned by Barbara and her husband Saverio will transport you into another realm. We arrived by way of a beautiful private road, adorned with Italian Cypress and evergreens. As you approach the main house, there are rows of olive trees, glistening silver in the Tuscan sun. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with homemade bread and strawberry jam. The apartment we resided in for 8 days, was perfectly renovated out of a 16th century barn. Each morning you will be greeted by the Tuscan light, a few playful cats and rows of gorgeous flowers and the trill of songbirds. Barbara and her husband could not have been more accommodating or warm. They were always ready to help, advice or embrace you with a deep friendliness. I must mention that a walk down the hill leads to a gourmet restaurant, called Osteria Palagetto. This is authenticity at its finest. No tourists, just regulars, treated to the most savory Tuscan food to be found for miles. Don't wait, Please go!

Perfekter Standort für einen Urlaub in der Toskana

Groẞzügige und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung, idyllisch auf dem Land gelegen und doch nah an Florenz. Ein guter Standort, um alle wesentlichen Orte der Toskana besuchen zu können. Barbara ist eine mehrsprachige und sehr hilfsbereite Gastgeberin.

Wonderful flat in a gorgeous setting

From arrival to departure this was our little piece of Tuscan paradise. Close enough to the cities (Firenze, Pisa) if you want to get there but far away from the crowds in a tranquil, hidden valley known mostly to locals. Barbara and her family took excellent care of our needs, even finding toys for the little ones and helping with restaurant recommendations in the area. The kitchen was well equipped enough for cooking some delicious meals with the wonderful local Tuscan produce. We were sad to leave!

Beautiful and very relaxing

Beautiful home perfectly organized and very clean. Barbara was a wonderful host. She was very gracious and made sure everyone was comfortable. The place is about a 20 minute walk from restaurant/bar. Market is further out so plan to have a car or walk a bit. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beautiful sights.
