Welcome to The Palms #8, a stylish two-bedroom condo on Playa Flamingo, one of Costa Rica's most beautiful beaches. This split-level unit is located in one of the most exclusive condominium communities in Playa Flamingo for a luxurious and peaceful vacation in Costa Rica!

The Space:
During your stay at The Palms #8, you can experience the privacy of a high-end condo combined with the convenient accessibility of resort-style amenities, including a fitness center, complimentary kayaks and paddle boards, private parking, 24/7 security, and two swimming pools — including a stunning infinity pool that overlooks the ocean!

This unit features a spacious, open layout on the bottom floor, with a living room, kitchen, and dining room. The living room is furnished with a comfortable couch, stylish coffee table, and flat-screen TV and opens to a beautiful shaded terrace. The terrace includes a sitting area, a dining table that seats eight, and a well-manicured walking path leading to the swimming pools and the beach.

The fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops, wood cabinets, and convenient appliances, including a microwave, oven, dishwasher, stovetop, and refrigerator. In addition to the outdoor seating and breakfast bar in the kitchen, which seats three, this condo includes an indoor dining table that can seat eight guests. There is also a bathroom on the first floor and a wet bar off the kitchen. If traveling with a large group, you can also book The Palms #9, which connects to this unit through the living room to sleep a total of 12 guests.

In The Palms #8, guests will find two upstairs bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. The master bedroom features high ceilings, a king-sized bed, a kitchenette, a furnished balcony with stunning oceanfront views, and a connected bathroom with a walk-in shower and bathtub. The second bedroom offers a queen bed and a double bed, as well as a balcony and walk-in shower in the bathroom.

The Palms is a luxury gated community in a class of its own, and is among the most exclusive vacation lodging available anywhere near Flamingo. Just a few steps from the beautiful Flamingo Beach, the Palms combines spectacular views with 24/7 security and a delightful sense of privacy.

The Palms Private Residences are located at the far southern end of the dazzling Playa Flamingo, on a delightful and remote beach. Gorgeous swimming pools, palm trees, manicured grass and flower gardens begin at the very edge of the tide line. All tenants here have a front-row seat 24/7 to the sights and sounds of the Pacific Ocean, with interior furnishings and finishings that are second to none.

Flamingo is a high-end beachfront community notable for its dazzling ocean views and the beautiful, hilly peninsula that juts out into the Pacific, separating Playa Potrero from Playa Flamingo.
Flamingo is home to a wide array of stunning homes and vacation rentals, as well as humbler lodging options, and it has restaurants, grocery stores, banks and other conveniences.
A brand-new, state-of-the-art marina opened to the public in 2022, with slips for yachts and fishing boats, condos for rent and all kinds of shops and restaurants. Good restaurants in town include the Coco Loco, a beachfront eatery known for its coconut drinks and standout cuisine; Marie’s, a reliable standard with a long and enticing menu; Angelina’s, featuring fine Italian dining in an elegant environment; and several options at the Margaritaville, including the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill.
Flamingo was largely developed by foreigners, and it lacks the traditional Costa Rican downtown with a soccer field plaza, church and school. The heart of town is an upscale commercial plaza with stone steps, fountains, restaurants and shops. Farther away on the road to Brasilito, you’ll find smaller restaurants, hotels, banks, hardware stores and the Super Massai grocery store.
Flamingo is more or less the centerpiece of a beautiful coastline stretching from the Reserva Conchal resort in the south to the Las Catalinas resort in the north, with the more traditional Costa Rican towns of Brasilito and Potrero in between. Flamingo is within easy striking distance of several beaches, including Conchal, Flamingo, Potrero, Penca, Prieta, Pan de Azucar and Danta.

Getting Around:
Our agents will be happy to assist you with renting a car, giving you the freedom to explore the area where you want, when you want. For short drives to nearby towns or beaches, golf carts are another popular mode of transportation. You can also rent a bicycle to ride around in town or beyond.

We can arrange transfers to and from the airport. Rental cars can also be delivered to your property at no additional cost, allowing you to relax and enjoy the scenery as our private van drives you here from the airport.

Taxis are available but can be a bit hard to find. Many locals use buses to get around, though there are a limited number of routes and times of day when you can catch them. Private shuttles can be a great option for traveling to nearby destinations, and many tour companies offer transportation to and from the tour. Our information brochure will provide you with useful information on local transportation options and points of interest, as well as contact information for taxis and shuttles.

Other Things to Note:
Special Places of Costa Rica is committed to protecting our properties and complying with short-term rental regulations, which is why all guests are required to complete an independent verification with our trusted partner, TRUVI, before check-in. You will be contacted via email, text, or app notification with instructions to complete this process. As part of the verification, you will need to choose between paying a refundable security deposit (which includes a non-refundable 2% processing fee) or purchasing a non-refundable damage waiver, which protects you in case of accidental damage during your stay. We strongly recommend the damage waiver, as it provides peace of mind and avoids tying up funds with a deposit. Both the TRUVI verification and your selection of either the deposit or the damage waiver must be completed prior to your arrival. Beautiful location but a few things missing

It is a beautiful location. I would say it didn’t really sleep six. The loft bed is very tight and Stuffy and we had lizards on the bed when we arrived. . We were a little frustrated when we were welcomed to the property. We were told we could have a ball in the kid pool. The following day, a staff member yelled at my kids, and we didn’t understand what he was saying. And then another lady told us that we couldn’t have it. And we just said that we are told we could and she said she would check and We soon got a message on vrbo that they would charge us 250 if we used it in the kid pool. Instead of just coming and calming explaining it they threaten us with a charge. I also felt like they constantly were doing yard work, mowing the lawn, and it was quite loud during the day time when most people were relaxing by the pool. The gym is also dated and don’t have enough outlets to keep the machines on. And the internet isn’t great. I’m not usually a complainer, this is a very expensive vacation. We should’ve been treated a little bit better. We had a great time overall.

Great Stay in Flamingo Beach

We had a lovely time staying in this condo. Location could not be beat and having a bartender on property was a nice surprise. Great service and response time from the management company on anything we requested or inquired about as well. The kitchen was well stocked with any pans, baking dishes, Tupperware, etc that was needed throughout our stay Our only complaint would be the second bedroom that has the loft sleeping space does not truly sleep more than one (or two if sharing a bed) person. The loft sleeping space is really unusable as the ceiling is so low that my daughter hit her head multiple times just trying to grab a pillow. We ended up using the sofa as a sleeping space, so it wasn't a huge deal.

Nice Property/ Bad Management

The property was very nice; however the property management, Special Places of Costa Rica, was disappointing. If I owned this property I would switch management places. But for those wishing to rent this property it is very nice, I just wouldn’t suggest getting any addition add ons from the property management because they have little to no communication confirming your appointments, excursions and golf cart rentals got totally messed up. If we come back I will be securing those options from another place.

Overall, the Palms is a GREAT place !! I would NOT stay in the unit we had as the owner has (3) units, 8,9 & 10 and unfortunately his sister was staying next door and we felt we were constantly being overseen as she told us , on several occassions, " Don't do this, don't do that to the point I finally had to say " we are on vacation, not summer camp in grade school." As responsible adults, and VRBO owners ourselves, we treat each place we stay as our own. It was wonderful once she left ...

Nothing finer in Playa Flamingo

This was our second stay here and is our most favorite place to stay in Costa Rica. Right on the beach, great staff, awesome facilities, and well maintained. Several restaurants within walking distance. Off the beaten path so to speak with little traffic on the beach during our December stay. You will not find a better location in Playa Flamingo.

Amazing Stay

The grounds were impeccably maintained. The staff took pride in the property and were very attentive. Palms #8 was lovely. Would be nice to have a few basics salt, pepper and sugar on hand.
