  • Ons herenhuis met 3 slaapkamers is ideaal voor gezinnen, groepen golfers of vrienden. We zijn huisdiervriendelijk met gemeenschappelijke tuin en terrein. Er is een achtertuin met een zonneterras en barbecueplek die de zon van 11:00 uur tot net voor zonsondergang laat opklaren. Het herenhuis is modern, heeft volledige centrale verwarming en we zorgen voor een openhaard voor winterbezoekers. Er is een kamer met een tweepersoonsbed met een eigen badkamer, een slaapkamer met twee eenpersoonsbedden en een kamer met twee bedden (volwassene). Er is ook een badkamer met een aparte douche. De woonkamer heeft Sky TV (breng uw kaart mee voor al uw eigen kanalen) met dvd-speler en muzieksysteem, de stapelbed kamer en grote slaapkamer hebben tv's. De woonkamer, eetkamer en keuken bevinden zich in een grote open ruimte op de eerste verdieping met een prachtig uitzicht over het landschap. Er is een aparte wasruimte.
    Portballintrae Cottage ligt op 5 minuten lopen van de zee, de haven, het dichtstbijzijnde strand en een restaurant. De Giant's Causeway ligt op 20 minuten lopen langs het strand en de landtong.
    Het is 8 minuten lopen naar Bushmills stad, die de thuisbasis is van Bushmills-distilleerderij (een must om te bezoeken), en is iets groter dan Portballintrae. Het heeft een scala aan restaurants, van gastronomisch eten tot uitstekende cafés en coffeeshops. Bushmills heeft een groot aantal goede winkels met de beste groente en fruit en de beste slagerijen in de omgeving. Je bent 8 minuten rijden van de Giant's Causeway; Royal Portrush Golf Club en 5 meer golfbanen van wereldklasse zijn slechts 8 tot maximaal 20 minuten rijden.

A lovely few days

This was a great place to stay with our children as we enjoyed the north coast. Lyn was very helpful with our queries before our visit and we really enjoyed our time.

Brilliant house, well situated for beach, harbour and Bushmills is only 5 mins away in the car. Beautiful views over fields and so peaceful. You won’t be disappointed

Family trip to Northern Ireland

We had a fantastic time at Lyn's cottage. It was a great location to explore the coast and the cottage felt like home. Lyn was extremely helpful with suggestions for restaurants, places to visit and things to do in the area. It was quiet and peaceful and a 5 min walk to the beach. The nearby town of Bushmills was so quaint and had several good restaurants, coffee shops and shops. We will definitely be back.

Great location

A fabulous little cottage in a great location. Lovely layout with the living area on the first floor to make the most of the great views. Kitchen Well equipped with all you could need. the only small issue was that the seating was well past it’s best and not terribly comfortable which is a shame as everything else was just about perfect. Would definitely recommend this property

Absolutely perfect.

We were so impressed with this beautiful cottage, and it's location is ideal for nice walks, scenic drives and a good choice of places to enjoy eating out etc. Lots of things to do and see on the lovely Antrim coast. A special thank you to host Lyn and his agent Tracey as they were so helpful. We look forward to staying at this lovely cottage again soon. Hugh.

A little piece of heaven!

Just back from an amazing weekend at 12 Ballaghmore cottage. Cannot rate this property highly enough. Stunning countryside views, 5 min walk into Portballintrae and peaceful, scenic walk along pathway beside Heritage Railway Track into Bushmills. The property is very homely and is so well equipped. I have never stayed in self catering accommodation that had literally everything you could need. Like a home from home. Lyn, the owner was so lovely and accomodating, as was Tracey, who cleaned the house. This house will definitely be top of our list for our family getaways.

Cosy, comfortable, well equipped cottage in a perfect location

As lovely inside as it looks from the outside, this cottage-style townhouse is perhaps the best equipped self catering rental we’ve stayed in - it has everything you could possibly need - and then some! It was warm and cosy, light and airy and tastefully decorated throughout. The south facing patio area with table and chairs at the back of the house meant we could enjoy breakfast in the sunshine as well as evening aperitifs before the bbq (our weather was obviously good!). The cottage is perfectly situated for walks along Runkerry Beach, golf at Bushfoot Golf Club and tennis at the local municipal court in Portballintrea (PBT) - all of which we did! The owner, Lyn and his agent in PBT, Tracey couldn’t have been more helpful with booking arrangements. I would definitely recommend the property and hope to stay in it again.

Great location

We absolutely loved the location. It was quiet and very scenic. It provided easy access to the Causeway, hiking trails, Bushmills, the ocean etc. Lyn was very helpful and responsive to our inquiries. Given 4 of us were seniors, we would not recommend this as a place for 6 adults, rather, it would be better suited for a family with children. We also found the seating in the living area to be quite tired and not too comfortable. Would definitely recommend this location for younger families.
