'The hotel was beautiful, with the add Christmas feel. We stayed for one night, for a visit to Burghley House Christmas Market, it was perfect location. Dinner and breakfast was good, however a little expensive. The room was warm, cost and had all amenities needed. The only complaint, was the bed was a little hard. We would definitely recommend a visit to the Haycock Hotel. '

All positive, only negative would be poor wifi connection booster required i would suggest . Nevertheless great stay for business travelling'

'The receptionist whom greeted us was less than welcoming. Not the best first impression however hotel was lovely and all the other staff were lovely'

'A lovely hotel with a friendly team of staff. Access to the spa was a great bonus. The food was really good and welcome drink a nice surprise. We ate in the restaurant both nights. The Courtyard was a lovely space to take your drink. Good location. I would recommend a stay at this hotel. '

'Enjoyable third one night stay over recent years near to Christmas as a stopover to visit relatives in Oakham. Christmas trees and lights decorations looking good. Good view of Rutland Water and easy access to it through the gardens'

'Prima verblijf om bijvoorbeeld Cambridge of stamford te bezoeken. Ook Londen is met de trein goed te doen. Kamer was goed, ontbijt en avondeten perfect, heerlijk. Badkamer klein en met een simpele douche. '

'My wife and I stayed for just one night. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff and proprietor were very friendly and helpful. We dined in the evening and breakfasted the following morning. The food was good and service efficient, friendly and courteous. Our room was warm and clean and the bed very comfortable. What more do you need from a hotel? We will definitely stay should we go back to the area.'
