Lots and lots and lots of issues not shown in pictures. Some of the Things:Grass not mowed, Poison Oak, Broken Storm Door, Black stuff around air vents, Dripping Faucets, Rugs Sticking up for people to fall on, Rotten back porch, Chair Cushions Nasty, Windows Taped Up, and A Mouse!!
Before you make your decision go to google maps and review the street scape. It is in an area with a bunch of trailers. I didnât mind that so much. But there was a disturbance when we arrived at the trailer across the street. 5 cop cars were called. I called the owner. She was very prompt in her reply. She called the police department and found that it was a domestic situation. She was very good at communication. But it still made us very wary. There is also a lot of dogs yapping from time to time.
The home was clean. Itâs needing a little TLC. Drippy faucets. Storm door broken. Needs some trimming of landscaping. But it sure is close to town. I wouldnât walk though. Itâs a narrow street with no sidewalk and a lot of traffic.
Accommodations were comfortable. House was older but good ambiance. Neighbors were loud and sketchy at times. But, no personal interactions. Also, a camera was in the living area. Overall a good place to stay to ride the train and enjoy Bryson City.
Cottage was realy cute .. location was not good mobile home across the road was up banging all night .. and dont like the idea of being watched on cameras while we were there.
We spent 6 days at this lovely home and enjoyed the relaxed setting. Quiet location and just a short walk to Bryson City's main street and train station. So many sights to see in the area plus a very comfortable and Cozy home!
5/5 Stars â Perfect Cozy Stay in the Heart of Bryson City!
We had an amazing stay at this charming cottage! The location is unbeatableâjust a short and easy walk to downtown Bryson City and the railway. We visited for the Polar Express and had a wonderful time. Even my elderly stepfather, who struggles with stairs and walking, was able to make the trip effortlessly. This is a classic small mountain town with a mix of older homes, which adds to its charm. If youâre expecting modern luxury homes, this isnât the areaâbut the cottage itself is like visiting Grandmaâs house in the best way. Itâs quaint, cozy, and so welcoming. The house was immaculately clean, which is a big deal for me. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The host even left us holiday shortbread cookies, which was such a sweet touch! Thereâs also a hot tub, Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and little extras like a foosball table and games. We brought my parentsâ dogs along, and it was such a relief to have a pet-friendly place where they could join us. The host was kind and accommodating, and while we didnât need anything during our stay, I felt confident theyâd have helped if we had. This cottage was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. Itâs reasonably priced, incredibly close to everything, and just felt like home. Weâll definitely stay here again next time we visit Bryson City. Highly recommend!Thank you for a wonderful stay!
The home was well appointed with everything we needed. We very much appreciated the coffee, very close to Bryson City but I would not recommend walking.
Photos are very accurate in terms of the interior which was clean and spacious. The neighborhood was very run down and didnât feel very safe. The hot tub was functional but needed to be maintained a bit (chemicals)
Great location, and very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub after rafting. This is just minutes away from the train depot and downtown Bryson city. Will definitely stay here again.
The online description of the house overlookg the river from the front porch sounded inviting.
But the view fromt the porch was of three or four trailers and maybe beyond sometall w eeds there was a river but we couldn't see it.
Everything ele was fine.
Explored the area parks and Bryson City. Tubing and hiking were fun. Just wish we had more time. Our place was plenty big and very nice. Thanks to our host.
