This house is perfect for families. It has everything you could need. My kids loved the bill room and toys provided by the host. We read a new book each night from their book bin. They loved the chess set too. The backyard fire pit was great to relax by after a day exploring Portland. Very cozy. Hosts were also great!

There was literally everything you needed to cook anything. Very well equipped. This is the first property I've rented that had so much. Pots, pans, baking sheets, pizza pans, crock pot, air fryer, just to name a few. The fire pit is perfect, games and toys for all ages, thr kids loved it as much as we did. The screened in porch also perfect. Im afraid of running out of space writing this review, all I can say is.... we all enjoyed this property and will be going back yearly. The small personal touches are simply amazing kudos to the owners this place is heaven on earth...we cant wait to go back.

This property was so family friendly! We had a family vacation with 4 children aged 5 years and under and this rental had everything we needed. It was so nice not to worry about bringing big items like high chairs and pack and plays. Everything was set out for us including boosters and guards for the bunk beds. The kids loved having their room set up for them. The kitchen had everything we needed and we were very happy with the overall cleanliness of the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry area. We enjoyed walking down to the beach and playing on the playground, as well as having s’mores in the firepit at night!

This property was absolutely perfect! Sindi and Doug have done a remarkable job including everything you could possibly need or want on vacation! We drove in and saw the nice lights outside creating a warm feeling already. When we went inside we realized the house had everything all the reviews stated. We were really pleased to find a bunch of firewood cut and covered with plenty of kindling and fire starter. We all enjoyed karaoke, shuffle board, and air hockey! Thank you to Doug for coming in such short notice to fix the back door handle and to grab our trash and recycling in the middle of our trip. We are hoping to come back very soon!! Thanks again!

The Bears Den is amazing! From the location, to the amenities, to the beautiful, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms! We celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary while there, and my son proposed to his girlfriend on top of the mountain! Doug and Cindy are super nice, and even left an anniversary gift for us. I will definitely return to the Bears Den!

Just got home and already miss the Bear’s Den. This home offered everything needed for the perfect family vacation from full kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms including things you may have forgotten, game room for young and old, beautiful screened in porch and fire pit to sit and eat s’mores after day at pool or lake.

We had a fantastic time at the Bears Den! The hosts were truly wonderful and very accommodating to our schedule. We were organizing a trip with teenagers, which can be challenging but the hosts were very understanding. The location is out of a fairytale, beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. The hosts have thought of every detail from s’mores and jiffy popcorn for the fire pit, to toothbrushes and anything you might forget they had covered. There were so many activities for adults and teenagers. The pool and tennis courts were a real hit. Even our dogs had fun once they settled down. We would book again in a heartbeat. Thank you Sindi and Doug for a truly memorable family vacation

This house was better than expected! They have thought of everything. It was very clean, completely equipped! Games, kitchen, toys!The outdoor space was great! We had fires outside and watched some wildlife. The screened in pouch was great for dinners and rain. The front pouch was perfect for enjoying our morning coffee. Our son enjoyed the kids toys, board games and Nintendo Wii. The pool was nice but we loved the beach area more. It was never very crowded and the house had everything we needed for the pool and beach. We enjoyed the kayaks a lot! The lake is very peaceful and also not very busy. Both beach and pool were very easy to get to. Driving was a must for us.The kitchen had every appliance you could ever need! We were able to bring our dog which was a first for us and he loved it too! We were able to adventure around the wood right in the back yard!Bridgeton was a great little town. Lots of great food! We highly recommend Queen’s Head pub, Elevation sushi and Tacos and Maine street ice cream. So many cute little shops and a great book store.When we did have question the owners got back to very quickly!We would absolutely rent this house again!

Bears Den in Brighton, the perfect family vacation spot!

The Bears Den is an amazing lake house! More than amazing! Sindi has everything you need waiting for you! We really enjoyed the fire pit! So nice to have the family all together relaxing. The kids loved the bears that decorated the cabin. So many Bears! We were within an hr of so many places to visit. We went to Storyland, Conway Scenic Railroad, Cog Railroad on Mount Washington, Portland beaches, swam in the Soco river, enjoyed a beautiful scenic drive thru the New Hampshire White Mountains and even the Clarks Bear Show. My daughters and grandchildren are still raving how nice the cabin is. Our hosts made sure that all our needs were met. Check out the town of Brighton. You can find anything at Reny's. Beth's on the main street has the best omlets and oatmeal. Ate there twice. You also have to check out Cool Moose. A tee shirt shop in Brighton, Family owned since 1968. We all loved Bears Den and are planning to make a return trip soon!

Home away from home!

The Bears Den was the perfect launching pad for my exploration of Bridgton and surrounding communities while searching for my retirement home. My friend and I felt right at home in the well stocked kitchen. We arrived with plenty of groceries but it was nice to have spices, coffee filters and creamers already stocked for us!The home was comfortable and clean, and the three bedrooms are perfect size for families with children. The main living area and 1st floor "playroom" boast large screen TVs so that adults and kids can watch different programs at the same time!Having a washer and dryer on the first floor along with detergent was very convenient!The neighborhood where The Bears Den is located is quiet and serene. I loved waking up to early morning bird song and a cup of coffee on the back, screened deck!I highly recommend staying at this VRBO if ever in the Bridgton area!Thanks so much, Sindi

Wow !! Wonderful! Wicked good!

Best family friendly home from beginning to end !! What can I say the owners thought of everything plus some! Kids paradise! Dog heaven! After a cold icy winter we all enjoyed the spring skiing and pleasant mountain did not disappoint!! Great neighborhood for walking and playground for kids and views of mountains !! Hope to return!!

A lovely escape

What a wonderful stay! It is clear that the hosts put a great deal of thought and effort into the guest experience. The house was incredibly warm and welcoming and had everything you could imagine. In fact, it was the best equipped house I have ever rented! The kids enjoyed the books, toys, and games, as did the adults! The whole experience was just wonderful. We will definitely be returning!

We had a wonderful weekend at the Bear’s Den!

The Bear’s Den is a delightful home and we loved every minute of our stay. The owners really leaned into the bear theme, there are bears everywhere in a really delightful way. The firepit out back was the perfect spot to relax and hangout as a group. The lake that we had access too was beautiful! Our trip was in the fall and it was chilly but we couldn’t resist some fishing and kayaking/paddlebording at the lovely spot. We also appreciated that there was a good size deck on the front as well as a screened in porch on the back.The house has everything you could want and we really enjoyed our stay.
