'The hotel is easily reached by bus from either Derby or Nottingham. However, if you plan to do a lot of sightseeing in the area, it's probably best to have your own car. In spite of its proximity to M1, the hotel is set in a quiet and pleasant location. Most of the staff was very kind and helpful: one of them was on the same bus as us when we arrived, and kindly walked us from the bus stop to the hotel. This was especially nice since we arrived late in the evening. Just the receptionist we...

'Very basic breakfast, convenient location, good when you need to stay somewhere just to sleep.'

'Arrived on Sunday evening. Had been held up at an engagement but had a table booked during my journey for 20.45. Arrived at the pub/reception at 20.53 (booking line stated I had a 15 minute grace period). Told rather rudely that the kitchen had closed ages ago. I pointed out that I'd booked a table for 20.45 to which the reply was 'well it's now 20.53'. I stated that the booking said there was a 15 minute grace period and I had been stuck in traffic during my 2 hours drive, so couldn't help...

'Great beautiful location '

'Goed hotel, dichtbij Donington Park. Proper ,lekker ontbijt. rustig ondanks dichtbij de luchthaven'

'Lovely proprietor. Cooked breakfast was great, a pity that on last day we couldn't have it because of staffing problem. Attractively decorated property'

'Salt suite was geweldig. Ziet er heel mooi uit! Bad in de main bedroom en sauna in de badkamer.'

'very good staff, superb food, good bed'

'the staff made our stay'

'Very clean and well kept property. Friendly and helpful staff. Our dog stayed with us at no extra charge and the overall price was excellent value. As they do accommodate pets, it maybe an idea to have external litter bins. Apart from that our stay was great and we will be back.'
