The Space:

Set on a serene 4-acre farm, The Shippon offers the opportunity to unwind in a tranquil environment surrounded by lush fields, bridleways, and footpaths. The farm's expansive grounds include off-road parking and an EV charging station. We are dog-friendly, with secure grounds and an exercise paddock where anxious dogs can roam and play freely.



Step inside The Shippon, an open-plan barn conversion that seamlessly merges rustic charm with modern elegance. The ground floor features a spacious, open-plan kitchen equipped with high-end amenities including an AGA cooker, hot chocolate and coffee machines. Adjacent to the kitchen is a stylish dining area, perfect for enjoying meals together.



The comfortable lounge area invites you to unwind with its large smart TV, while the luxurious bathroom boasts a rainfall shower for a spa-like experience.



Ascend the stunning oak staircase to the glass balcony, where the master bedroom awaits. To the left, you'll find a sumptuous super king bed, promising restful nights. At the other end of the balcony, there's a freestanding copper and nickel bath. Downstairs is a double sofa bed, offering additional sleeping space or a serene spot to relax. If you would like to use the sofa bed, please let us know in advance so we can prepare it for you. There is a charge of £30 per night for additional guests using the sofa bed.



Outside, relax in the private kitchen garden or seek some shade in the hammock. Grab some marshmallows and toast by the fire pit, perfect for cosy evenings under the stars. Whether you're enjoying a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening, the outdoor space offers a serene setting to unwind and take in the natural beauty of North Devon.



For those who love outdoor activities, The Shippon's location is a paradise. With bridleways and footpaths right on your doorstep, you can explore the stunning countryside through hiking and biking. Storage facilities for bikes and surfboards are also available, making it easy for you to bring along all your gear for an adventurous stay and even a wetsuit drying room, no more soggy wetsuits for a day in the sea.

Great country walks to the Rock Georgeham, Croyde and Putsborough. 2.5 Miles to the beach



The Shippon is close to some of the UK’s best beaches. Croyde is a top surf spot with golden sands, Putsborough offers a secluded beach experience, Saunton Sands is great for families, and Woolacombe boasts three miles of pristine sand. These beaches are perfect for surfing, swimming, and sunbathing.



Just a short drive away, Braunton is a vibrant village known for its surf culture, shops, cafes, and restaurants. Explore historic landmarks, enjoy local delicacies, and experience the friendly community. Don't miss the Braunton Burrows, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with the UK’s largest sand dune system.

The Shippon in Nethercott is the perfect base to explore Braunton and North Devon. Whether you seek relaxation or adventure, this beautiful region promises unforgettable experiences and stunning natural beauty.



Getting Around:

We have off-road parking for one car with an electric car charger. I would recommend using a car to get around but there is a bus stop approximately 1 mile from the barn



Other Things to Note:

We have a few policies in place to ensure all guests enjoy a relaxing, safe, and comfortable stay:



🕓 Check-in is from 4:00 pm, and check-out is by 10:00 am. Early arrival or late departure may be available on request but is not guaranteed.



🧍‍♂️ The lead guest must be 25 years or older. We reserve the right to request photo identification.



🚫 No parties or events – this is a peaceful countryside setting and we ask all guests to respect that.



🚭 No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.



🐾 Dogs: We welcome well-behaved, house-trained dogs (maximum of two). Dogs must be kept downstairs only and off all furniture.



✨ No fake tan, please – it can cause permanent stains to our luxury bedding and towels. Any damage may incur a replacement or cleaning fee.



🔑 Lost keys: A £50 fee applies for lost keys to cover locksmith or replacement costs.



🛌 Optional Sofa Bed Available

If you would like to use the sofa bed, please let us know in advance so we can prepare it for you. There is a charge of £30 per night for additional guests using the sofa bed.



🔌 EV Charging Available

We have an EV charger available on-site. Charging is offered at a flat rate of £10 per day.

Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring an electric vehicle so we can make sure the charger is available and accessible.
