Disconnect in a tiny log house on lakefront property on White Lake, known for it's clean and clear turquoise water, great fishing and water sports. The cabin is not directly on the lake. Walk 1 to 2 minutes down a sloped pathway and you're there. Some people have said the path is steep, others say it is fine. If you have family with an RV we have room! Please contact us for details.
Only 30K from Salmon Arm or 90K to Kamloops, we are central for exciting day trips, skiing, golfing or hiking. There are no other guests on the property. We live here year round so you will see us outside or at the beach occasionally.
The cabin is a simple but functional one room log home. Exposed logs on the outside, finished and painted on the inside, it is a 20' x 10' space with an extra long queen size bed and a full bathroom with a shower. The kitchenette comes with 2 hotplates, toaster, coffee maker and microwave. A toaster oven is available. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, pots and pans, cutlery, S&P, coffee, sugar and cooking oil. Outside is a propane BBQ. You can eat inside at the drop leaf table or outside at the patio table.
There is a loft with a second queen bed but this space is best suited for children as the ceiling height is low. The loft is open to below and best suited for children over the age of 4.
There is a firepit just outside the door plus another one at the lake, bring your own firewood or buy a wheelbarrow full for $20.00 COD.
The traditional Finnish wood-heated sauna is right at the lake. Completely private, large enough for 4 to 6 adults, this amazing experience is $40 and is not included in the nightly rate. All firewood required to heat it and towels are included. Stay in as long as you want, cold plunge in the lake as it is just steps away. In the winter we may be able to cut a hole in the ice right off the end of the dock. It is thoroughly cleaned between guests. Please note it is available evenings and weekends as we work during the day. Two hours notice minimum is required to get it ready.
This is a residential neighbourhood. Our closest neighbour is 250' away uphill from the cabin and our house is 75' away. The cabin faces away from both. The lake freezes over normally mid January and the ice often is here until mid April. If the ice is safe you can ice fish or cross country ski right from here.
There is little or no cell reception here. We have wifi but it's a rural area and sometimes slow. Activate wifi calling on your phone before you arrive if cell reception is needed. There is no TV in the cabin. I supply a few games and puzzles but bring some games and activities if you choose to be indoors.
At the lake there is lots of room at the dock to moor a small to medium size boat or rent our tinny fishing boat with electric motor. The sunsets are glorious on the dock!
