Wij kregen een upgrade naar het naast gelegen hotel Geysir. Litli Geysir was gesloten. Hotel Geysir is pas nieuw en erg smaakvol ingericht. ruime kamers en een uitstekend ontbijt . Dus mijn beoordeling heeft betrekking op Hotel Geysir

Zeer leuk Hotel met ideale ligging
Zeer gezellig logement. Kamers zijn prima. Rustige ligging. Vriendelijke ontvang St. Zeer gezellige ontbijtruimte. Diner niet in hotel mogelijk, maar wel in ernaast gelegen hotel Geysir. Zeker een aanrader. Top ligging. Op vijf minuten wandelen van de geysers.

De locatie is echt goed. De geisers zijn op loop afstand. Toen wij er waren helaas geen familie kamer moesten dus 2 kamers nemen. Wat het minder gezellig maakt en onnodig duur.

Geweldige locatie
Een geweldige locatie. Je bent in de gelegenheid om de geyser en waterval te bezoeken buiten de drukke tijden dat de toeristen massa aanwezig is. Een prima tussenstop voor 1 nacht. Uitstekend goed verzorgd ontbijt. Extra service een wake up call als er een kans is op het zien van het Noorderlicht.

Perfecte locatie voor geisers
Hotel tegenover de geisers. Alles is netjes en personeel is vriendelijk en beleefd. Ontbijt is heerlijk en uitgebreid voor IJslandse begrippen. Je kan ook een lekker slokje levertraan nemen. De kamer is vrij basic en economisch maar jet restaurant (prima diner ook) is sfeervol en gezellig.

Zeer nette, comfortabele kamer en badkamer. Gratis koffie en thee op de gang is een meerwaarde. Super uitgebreidt ontbijtbuffet, zowel warm als koud. Gezellige ruimte om te relaxen en iets te eten. Restaurant aan te bevelen.

It was really fantastic . Verry friendly. The room was verry clean and comfortable the breakfast was really Nice, they even came to knock on our door when the northern lights where showing. Dinner was also delicious try the Reindeerburger and the salmon with risotto

Er wordt een nieuw hotel gebouwd. Tot die tijd volstaat het huidige hotel prima. Aan de buitenkant ziet het er niet uitnodigend uit; binnen is het prima vertoeven. Kamers zijn niet groot, maar bedden zijn prima, uitzicht op de geijsers, erg goed restaurant, en zeer gastvrije medewerkers. Meerder watervallen vlak in de buurt!

Ok hotel, meer door locatie. We zaten in de bungalows die vrij gedateerd waren. Wifi deed het daar niet, ook niet met de Wifi versterker die je meekreeg. Ze zijn wel bezig met verbouwen en bijbouwen. Er is een grote souvenirwinkel en een spa/sauna. En er is een (vrij duur) restaurant.

The hotel had two properties - Litle Geysir and Geysir Hotel. We were upgraded to Geysir Hotel which was a nice surprise. It's a beautiful facility and it also has a really lovely restaurant. The rooms were super clean - we did notice it was quite warm in the room when we arrived and had to turn off the heat and open a window, but I guess for a February arrival, that would be expected. Otherwise, this place is great!

Property was not kept up to date - uncomfortable mattresses - years beyond their useful life - poor room lighting (no bedside reading lights). Had to use cell phone flashlights to read in bed. Desk staff did provide concerned and informative information and help with contacting restaurants and upcoming hotels Feels like basic comfort and upkeep have been neglected but price would lead you to think it would be a much more comfortable hotel. Way overpriced!

This hotel is more like a motel and was the most North-American-like accommodations we had during our roadtrip around Iceland. There is a large, casual and comfy lounge area with a telescope where you can hang out, read, plan your sightseeing and have a glass of wine in the evening, if you're not ready to just be in your room. There is no breakfast here; you have to walk for about 1-2 min to the other, fancier hotel for breakfast or dinner. But there is a convenient little coffee station for first thing in the morning. It's a great location to the geyser and the visitor centre; and really just what you need on a roadtrip around Iceland. The multiple lobbies (and restaurant) at the fancier property next door (Hotel Geyser) is visually stunning -- quite spacious and sophisticated -- and prices at the restaurant match that vibe. Order the reindeer paté. =)

Reisde met een groep
We received a free upgrade to the nearby Geysir Hotel, we can’t really comment on Litli Geysir, but our experience was great. The room was very comfortable and the hotel building was beautiful. We also had a couple of drinks at the restaurant which also seemed newly renovated.
