A block from the sand in Birch Bay, this navy-blue cottage trades a front yard for something better: a wraparound covered deck built for long mornings and longer evenings. Step outside and you’re covered rain or shine, with room enough for chairs and tables, a stretch of bench seating, and string lights that come on right as the sky turns pink over the water.

Climb the path behind the house and you’ll find the real draw: a stone-ringed firepit, chairs for four, and a view that opens up over the neighborhood rooftops to the bay and the mountains beyond. This is where relaxing evenings happen, wood on the fire, the tide coming in somewhere below.

Down the road, Birch Bay’s famous tide flats stretch out at low tide, an easy walk for beachcombing, sandcastles, or wading into the shallows. The cottage is stocked with beach towels, folding chairs, and a few toys, so packing light is an option, not a requirement.

Inside, the cottage keeps things simple and bright. A beach-toned living room opens straight onto the deck through a sliding glass door, with a futon sofa, a wall-mounted TV, and windows that pull in light from three sides. The kitchen is full-sized: refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and a washer and dryer tucked in alongside. A window over the sink looks out toward the deck, and a side door leads straight outside for easy access to the deck. A glass bistro table seats two for morning coffee. Two bedrooms sleep four: one with a queen bed and garden views, the other dressed in white iron, both close to the single full bath.

Birch Bay’s beach, shops, and restaurants are all one block away, an easy walk for sunset or saltwater taffy. Whether you’re here to fall asleep to the tide or spend the evening around the fire, this cottage puts you close to the water without the waterfront price tag.

WiFi runs throughout the cottage, the heat keeps it warm on cooler nights, and the deck has its own BBQ for grilling with a view. With the washer and dryer on site, there’s no need to pack more than a week’s worth of clothes.

A Rental Agreement regarding the home is required to be signed by the guest on the booking before the cancellation period ends. The agreement will be sent to you through the booking platform upon booking.
The home is not child-proofed - there are no covers on the outlets, or locks on cabinets and drawers containing cleaning products, sharp items, etc. You are responsible for taking precautions to keep your children safe.
The property has easy access to a quiet road, please keep your children within sight distance.
In respect of our neighbors we ask for quiet time between 10pm and 8am.
Our good neighbor policy is in the documents we send prior to your arrival, please read and adhere to them.
Only guests listed on the booking are permitted at the home unless prior approval by PNW Concierge (this includes both daytime and nighttime visitors.)
