FREEZING COLD ROOM, LYING CUSTOMER SERVICE
The hotel is unattended, so entry through key codes. The room was adequate and towels changed midway though my stay.
HOWEVER…the room was freezing cold on my arrival, the radiator did not work, so I rang the “Customer Services” number and spoke to a lady who said she would speak to the “on site” team who “live on the ground floor”. After thirty minutes I heard nothing, so I called back. The same lady said the on site team should come to my room to tell me the boiler was not working and that an engineer had been called. No one visited my room to tell me this so I knocked on the door of the “on site” team to no response. In addition, the hot water in the shower was fine, so I do not believe the boiler was faulty at all.
Needless to say no engineer arrived and I spent a freezing cold night in my room on the first night. The next day I rang the number again but now no one answered and so I left a lengthy voicemail, telling them how dissatisfied I was with no heating in the room.
Luckily I borrowed a heating device from a friend for the rest of my stay, but no one rang me back or contacted me regarding my voicemail. I saw no one else in the hotel during my stay and there was no one “on site” as list came for the hotel on the Friday which was still sitting there unopened on Monday.
In short, I was lied to by the lady on the phone about there being an on site team and the faulty boiler. A complete lack of customer service with a dose of deceit.
