'Wow! What a hotel, from the moment we arrived at the hotel to when we left, everything was superb. The staff were very helpful, nothing was too much for them, greeting you at the door and collecting your luggage, parking your car, a hello and a smile from everyone you met. Our room was excellent, large comfy bed, lovely bathroom with a loo that lifted its own lid and had a heated seat, which my wife thought was wonderful! 'Very relaxing property. Perfect for a short break. In a great area for visiting Fountains abbey, Ripon, Thirsk and Whitby. Easy access to A1M motorway. Property was in a very quiet village.'

'Alice who owns the property goes above and beyond what she needs to do she knows every guest by there 1st name had a meal in the Cantonese restaurant (which alice runs) on Friday and the food was 1st class breakfast there a choice a good choice all the staff are very friendly beds very comfortable and clean , showers nice and hot decor could do with a up date but to be honest I wasn’t there to look at the decor there was a group of 6 and we would definitely go back '

'A fantastic warm welcome. Beautiful room with everything we needed. The care put into the room was evident in all the personal details that ensured a comfortable stay. Bed soft and linen gorgeous. Horsey paintings added to the ambience as racehorses trotted by the window! Soothing and relaxing! Breakfast was the best ever in a b n b. Hostess Sharon made us feel like friends. 'This is a beautifully appointed cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's in a quiet location looking out onto a courtyard. Although there is no onsite parking, we had no trouble finding a parking space on the square. Visitors should also be aware that there is no outdoor seating area but we were out and about so this wasn't a problem for us. We would recommend the fish and chip place - but go for small fish and chips! The large are for those with a very large appetite! ...

'Room was first class and very comfortable. The room itself was beautiful and all fixtures and fittings were quality. Very quiet and all we could hear off and on was a hooting owl. '

'Wonderful place to stay and would stay again. Only negative things were that the room was very warm (no instructions on how to turn the heating down) and there was a really bright green (escape route?) light above the door which was on through the night and so made it difficult to fall asleep. Both issues easily remedied. My companion had no issues with her room so would thoroughly recommend!'
