Located in Black Mountain (about 15 minute drive to downtown), nearby activities to High Cliffs include local stores offering unique shopping opportunities, as well as galleries, music, craft furniture, and breweries in this easily walkable historic district. Rocking chairs are located all around town so you can rest and take in the scenic view. For an easy stroll with gorgeous views of the mountains, head to Lake Tomahawk park which is only a few blocks from downtown. Here you can walk the half-mile loop trail around the lake and enjoy views of Graybeard Mountain and other surrounding peaks. Around town, you’ll find a wide variety of places to eat to fuel up between adventures. The Blue Ridge Biscuit Company, Louise’s Kitchen, and the Trailhead are all popular restaurants. My Father’s Pizza is a long-standing local favorite as well!
Accommodations: Sleeps 6 guests. The large owners retreat on the main floor has a queen-size bed, large closet, and en-suite bathroom. The half bath and laundry facilities can also be found on the main level. Lower level offers a queen-sized bed in one private room with an en-suite bathroom, a full-sized bed in another private room, and a second living room with an additional refrigerator. • Exterior features and amenities: Wrap around deck with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the view. There is an electric grill located inside of the storage closet outside for guest use as well as a fire pit griddle. Enjoy the large yard with fire pit for roasting some s’mores!

We provide a Starter Package of supplies which includes a limited amount of toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, dish soap, one dish sponge, dishwasher tabs (if applicable), and laundry pods or detergent. Our hope is for you to begin enjoying your stay as soon as you arrive, however, the items provided are not meant to last the duration of a prolonged stay. Please plan to pack or purchase items you may need beyond what is provided.
Our check in time is at 4:00 p.m. and our check out time is at 10:00 a.m. We ask that you please be respectful of these times to allow our cleaning team to properly prepare the house and for the next guests to enjoy their stay as much as we hope you do! Adjusting either time may be possible, upon request and depending on availability, for an additional $25 fee.
If you are staying at one of our pet friendly properties you will be charged a pet fee. Failure to inform us of your pets staying at the property will result in a $250 fine.
Failure to follow the check out procedures outlined in the house manual may result in a $50 fee. All doors and windows should be locked and all lights should be turned off prior to your departure.
Occupancy Regulations: All rental units are subject to occupancy limits, “Occupancy” includes temporary visitors, even if they are not staying the night, and is determined either by state fire code regulations, the property owner, or property management company. Guests agree to abide by that limitation as indicated on the rental agreement and pay any fines issued during their stay. Cragmont Rentals has no authority to circumvent the town and/or state law. Guests further agree that Cragmont Rentals has the right to terminate this agreement before the end of the rental period if the limit is exceeded and any such termination will result in a forfeiture of all money paid on the reservation.
