I’ll start with the only positive: we got a great deal on the price. However, this is a classic case of "you get what you pay for," and unfortunately, the savings weren't worth the headache.
The biggest issue is their incredibly outdated key card system. The cards they use are so sensitive that they demagnetize if they are anywhere near electronic equipment. We had to be constantly paranoid about keeping them away from our phones or any other devices just to ensure they’d work.
It eventually became a nightmare when we were actually locked out of our room for an entire night because the card failed. We ended up having to sleep in our car. When I tried to resolve the situation with the front desk and requested a refund for that night—since we literally couldn't access the room we paid for—they were unhelpful. In all my years of traveling, I have never dealt with a key card system this unreliable.
On a minor note, while the room was technically clean, it had a very noticeable bad odor that made the stay even less comfortable. Between the smell and being forced to sleep in our vehicle, it’s safe to say we won’t be staying at Studio 6 again. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.
