MR Cabin on Hood Canal is a gem of a vacation rental home. Additional discounts may be available during the off-season. Guests staying longer are welcome to message me for more information. High ceiling with roomful of natural light. Fully equipped kitchen for you to enjoy. Two bedrooms and a bunk bed in common area, allowing up to 6 people to stay. Fabulous beach house for summer break. A pellet stove will get you through your winter getaway. Spacious front deck with outdoor furnitures, and outdoor shower in backyard for you to experience. There are kayaks, bike and a hammock available for fun. There are two fenced yards if you’re staying with your dog/s. Community fire pit directly facing west to enjoy the sunset. Walking distance to the state park for fishing or shellfish harvesting. Golf courses nearby for golf enthusiasts. 7-min drive to Belfair downtown with grocery stores (QFC and Safeway), restaurants and coffee shops.

Had a great time here, was perfect for a last minute get away! On a quiet, private street and just a few houses down from the community beach access. Had all the basics and some fun board games! Host quickly replied to questions and check in was very easy!

Super charming! There were a couple questions we had and then a suggestion or two. Chelsea was very responsive. Both quickly and kind. Checking in was easy.The house is very charming and unique as well as the lovely community. We enjoyed kayaking in the peaceful area as well as sitting by the beach for a peaceful read.

Checkin was easy. Just be sure to check email in Belfair before losing cell signal by the home. Log into home WiFi to get unique access code. House was well stocked so check cabinets before going shopping. Home is 4 houses from the beach but lovely dead end street access to water. Be sure to check tide charts via weather app for high and low tides. And bring water shoes as there are rocks and oyster shells in the beach that could be tough on your feet. Host communicated reasonably quickly. Nice space for small group of friends to gather.

The house is very roomy and quite comfortable. It sits very close to the water and has considerable deck space to sit outside. Our stay was brief, but we would definitely enjoy this spot for a longer stay in the future. Check-in and check-out were easy, and Chelsea is a responsive host.

Location can’t be beat!

The cabin itself is nice enough, but the real gem is the location. It’s located on a quiet dead end street, a few steps from the beach. There was only one kayak which was a bummer since we planned around there being 2 available (as mentioned in the listing). Overall, great place for a last minute stay.

Best Host Ever

We did not get to stay at the property, my dad has terminal cancer and Chelsea helped us day of make last minute cancelation. She is wonderful and we cannot wait to stay at her property soon. Great host you should book your stay here. Such a sweet lady!

We had a great time! The neighborhood was soooo cute and the neighbors were so friendly. The yard is perfect for dogs! The water and surrounding area was perfect for wading and paddleboarding! Would have given this property a 5 out of 5 but there were a few things we thought needed some attention.1.) 2 of the 4 stove burners didnt work and the oven temperature markers were rubbed off the knob. 2.) The outdoor shower was not functional. 3. The deck including railing needed maintenance (cleaning and wood hand rails are rotted through). Even with this issues we had a fantastic time and would rent again!

A frame beauty

We stayed during the off season, so lots of rain. This a perfect location however and the unit is quite charming and well kept. A good area for your dogs to run (if you have them). Beautiful scenery abounds with a very nice state park right down the road. Would definitely recommend!

A Great, Cozy Getaway from Seattle

We stayed here with our two dogs for a weekend, just to get away from the city and our regular weekend grind. The home has a lovely original “cabin” A-frame with an upstairs loft, and a gas fireplace that kept the main room nice and warm. There is a main bedroom and bathroom addition that is very generous in size and spotlessly clean. Kitchen is compact but very functional, and appointed with everything we needed for two nights of movies, board games and home made meals. We are already talking about finding a time to go back again soon.

Lovely, modern, clean home

The street that the home is on is surrounded by other very well maintained homes...such a nice, safe, comfortable place. Just 4 houses down is essentially a private grass area right on the water. We took our own kayaks (although we could have used the kayaks that were available). Easy in and out of the water. A hose is provided in the grass area to wash off our kayaks. There is even a portable toilet available in this space by the water. The neighbors are very nice. We needed a small pot and a can opener (which were not provided in our rented home). We asked a neighbor and they were happy to loan to us. The host corrected this quickly bringing a pot and can opener for our place that evening. That was the only hiccup which was quickly addressed. There are two full baths, and a large deck. The grill is a Weber for charcoal only. One of the beds is up stairs in the loft. A climb up a spiral staircase is required to get there. This is a climb and descent that requires caution. If you climb/descend slowly it is easy to navigate. We also found a many hiking trails nearby. We chose one 18 minutes away that was great. Highly recommend this place.

Wonderful getaway

My family loves going to Hood Canal and we had a wonderful time staying at this property. It was the perfect size, great location (literally a 1 min walk to the water) and the kayaks were a huge hit. The fenced yard for our dog was also a huge plus. Communication with the property manager was easy. If you are looking for rest and relaxation, this is a great place to do it!

Perfect cottage for a family. We stayed here to join family camping at Belfair. Very short walk to water at end of street. Nice, quiet and well kept neighborhood. Good communication with host. Clean and comfortable.

Great Beach Adjacent Cabin

The house was in a beautiful location and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The ad gives the impression that the house is a beach front property but the beach is shared with other houses on the street. Everyone in the neighborhood was welcoming and nice. It was great to have a fenced in yard for the dogs, no holes or ways to escape. I gave four stars for cleanliness because everything at eye level and below was clean but there was a lot of cobwebs and dust in higher surfaces. It didn’t affect the quality of our stay. Overall I would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a quiet beach getaway.
