'This was our favorite hotel during our 8 night trip to Europe. We stayed 2 nights. The staff couldn't have treated us any better. We mentioned a gluten allergy at checkin and they had multiple bread options available at breakfast. They were also helpful when we asked for recommendations. The hotel is well maintained and it was easy to walk to restaurants and shops.'

'A convenient hotel for visiting Bayeux. There is plenty of parking and the the town is a short walk away. Parking in town can be difficult, so we always walked. The rooms are comfortable, if a little basic. All rooms open onto an outdoor walkway, Ok so long as it isn't raining.'

'Villa Lara was exceptional in all categories above!! If you are spending time in Normandy or Bayeaux, hands down this is the only place to stay. Don’t even consider another hotel. The location is awesome. The rooms were very comfortable, updated and clean. The hotel staff especially Julian were outstanding. 'We were touring WW2 sites. This was in an excellent location for seeing all the "beaches" and Caen. It was clean and comfortable. Particularly compared to the hotel we stayed at in Paris.The hosts were quick to answer any questions which was nice because France is different than the USA. '
