After the person we found made a call to find out where our room key was, we had to drive back to the gate house to pick them up. Our room was changed to a king, which was fine. However, there was a space heater going when we arrived and it had to stay on overnight due to being cold in the room. The water in the shower never heated up past luke warm. « Beautiful, peaceful setting away from it all. Great for golfers & equestrians. Has a nice restaurant & bar on the premises (not open every day). Very good food and nice view overlooking the pond. About 1/2 hour drive from Lake Lure, Chimney Rock & Tryon. Friendly, helpful staff! »

« Such a beautiful property. We had a group of 4 couples and loved the space, individual en suites and the whole Asheville area. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch for early morning coffee and late night wine, the huge table for food and games and the serene front porch for lazy afternoons.Chris is an amazing host - he has thought of EVERYTHING.
