'We loved staying here! The room was perfect and it’s located right by the pool! The pictures are very accurate. We rented a car so it made coming and going easy. Others reviewed that they didn’t like it being outside of town, but when we visited the town we were thrilled with our location at Casa de MoalBoal. The town is very cramped and dirty, so it was lovely coming home to a fresh, clean, and relaxing atmosphere. The free breakfast was always good. We also snorkeled just out front. '

'This accommodation is located around 15-20 min walk from the "hart" of Moalboal including the closest beach. It is an easy walk, or if more preferred, a motorbike or a tuk-tuk ride. The place was kept clean and tidy and the communication with the staff was very easy. They were very helpful with all the questions I had and one of the receptionists has greatly helped me on my last morning when I was heavily mistreated by some of the scam "taxi services". The place hires local people as their staff...

'They supply earplugs. This is good for light sleepers. There is a yard with at least 20 roosters close to the back of the property. They start long before sunrise and go into the night. There are also 3 different locals nearby doing very loud karaoke and you can hear them all at the same time. Filipinos LOVE their karaoke. Otherwise, everything about this place is perfect. We absolutely loved our stay here. '

'Excellent hostel. Great property, very comfy beds and extra pillow was a nice touch. Shower towels and beach towels included. All staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had a small issue with one of the tours and they were so attentive to the problem. Free shuttle to beach and town is nice! Would definitely recommend staying here. '

'Our stay at the Backyard Inn was nothing short of a nightmare. The experience felt like actually sleeping outside with the chickens. The pod smelled of chicken waste, the sink didn’t drain, and the noise was unbearable—constant chicken noises, roosters crowing, and no peace or quiet to rest. We couldn’t wait to leave. The only saving grace was the staff, who were friendly and helpful, but that does not make up for the dreadful conditions. I would never stay here again. Avoid this place unless...
