Cottage in Bancroft countryside for the perfect relaxing getaway.

Escape to this tiny cottage in Bancroft. Guests enjoy a comfy space (picture cozy studio) with one bathroom, designed for a relaxing getaway. The cottage stays comfortable during summer months thanks to air conditioning but has heat for those rainy days. Hair dryer, curling iron, shampoo, bath wash and linens provided. Explore the area or wander our 6 acre property surrounded by farmland. Sit on the porch in the rocking chairs and read a good book by day and take in the night sky or simply sit by a firepit (at the cottage or in the "park" area) at night. A small but complete kitchen is provided, but you can also utilize a Blackstone grill on the porch. Breakfast fixings will be waiting for you in the refrigerator or cereal in the cupboard (enough for each morning of your visit) as well as a coffee, tea and hot chocolate bar.
The space is suitable for 3 people with a very comfortable full size bed downstairs and a twin bed in the loft. Not suitable for children under 12 because of the steep loft area. We're in a country setting with a tiny village nearby that has a bar (with great pizza) and a restaurant with great food. The cottage is about a mile away from a popular barn style wedding venue (Stone House); also within 7 miles of the village of Durand; 9 miles from Owosso/Corunna; near the Shiawassee River for great kayaking (you can borrow ours); and not far from several lakes and parks. You may choose to just slow down and enjoy the park-like area on this little "farm". There's a gazebo where you can picnic or a bench, table, & hammock in the park area (across the creek bridge)as well. The owner's live on the property for quick contact, but will respect your privacy unless you need us. We spend a lot of time outside, so you may see us and/or our grandkids around the property during your stay.
