Gecko Cottage: Affordable Coastal Escape in Bagamoyo’s Old Town

This compact self-contained cottage with 2 bedrooms is ideal for budget travellers who want to experience life first-hand in the 'old' part of Bagamoyo town. Conveniently located just 5 mins walk from 3 restaurants, the art market and the beach and in a walled compound with two other houses, visitors will wake up to the sound of the mosque and fishermen on their way to work. Samosas, chapattis and chai can be ordered from the cafe outside the gate.

There's a two ring cooker, a toaster, a kettle and a fridge at the cottage which means you can easily cater for yourselves to keep the cost of your trip to a minimum. You will have sole access to your cottage and can use the washing line in the main garden area to hang you washing up.

The house is managed by a house keeper during the day. After 5pm, you can call if you need to contact us.
