Siracusa (20 kms) was founded by the Greeks around 735 b.c. The Romans continued building and expanded the city. The ruins that you can visit today are the remains of this era. You can go to the archaeological park of Siracusa where you can find and impressive Greek theatre and a Roman amphitheatre and rock quarries. The old city centre has a lot of atmosphere because of the architecture from the last centuries.
Noto (10 kms) the capital of Sicilian Baroque. Noto is without doubt one of the priorities for those who went on the road in the province of Syracuse. Called the garden of golden stone, Famous impresses every visitor to its charming atmosphere and aristocratic warm tones data from the honey-colored stone.
