'Loved this hotel. We came back 3 separate times as Santiago was our home base. For the price we paid, we were very satisfied. Shared bathrooms were not a problem and there were enough that it almost felt like we had our own bathroom. Everything was clean and well maintained. The staff was delightful and very helpful. '
'Hostal Rio Amazonas is in een leuk oud koloniaal gebouw met charme. Het heeft een gezellige , kleine patio waar je kunt ontbijten etc. De staf is heel aardig en behulpzaam. De ligging is handig om de stad te verkennen. Het ligt aan een drukke weg met dag en nacht veel voorbijrazend verkeer. Er zijn gelukkig wel dubbele ramen waardoor je weinig last hebt van het verkeerslawaai of vraag om een kamer, die niet aan de straat ligt.
Verwacht alleen geen moderne luxe, ook gaan airco's. Het is er wel...

'Great location, we walked to San Cristobal Hill and local dining and took a short Uber ride to the Palace, Plaza del Armas and other downtown sites. Jose organized pickup from the airport and transfers to and from Valle Nevado. The breakfast was good, tea, coffee and water available all day. Great stay.'

It’s a 30 min walk to the main attractions. There are lots of things to explore on the way so not bad. Overall a good place to stay at.'
