'Windows old, heating system old. I couldn’t sleep at night because heating system was making extremely loud noise. Everything was shaking. I thought earthquake started. Location is great. Beautiful view of the mountains. If you don’t care about the condition of the room this is good place to stay. The staff is helpful. Room is nice and clean.'

'The hotel is currently being renovated, so the corridor with the elevator is a construction site. Our room had not yet been renovated and made a dated impression. But all necessary facilities were present and working. Nice and helpful staff, especially the cleaners. Of the 5 hotels during our trip through New England, this was the least good.'

'Room was fine, bathroom was nice. Only there one night on a 40 dgree rainy day, so no amenities used per say. The 1st assigned room had a beeping smoke detector, so we needed to change room. Booked a "Riverview" room...nice enough, but the river is really a creek and there is a road on the other side, so there was still some traffic noise. Breakfast was good.'

'I seriously can't overstate how amazing the staff here is, I made their lives way more of a hassle than it needed to be, but they never made me feel like I was being a burden. 'Prima kamers, wat verouderd, maar schoon en ruim. Bezochten de White Mountains in de herfst: veel hotels, restaurants en winkels zijn gesloten. Behalve de ontzettend mooie natuur was er dan ook weinig te beleven.'

The location is superb and centrally located in the White Mountains (we hiked the Lonesome Lake trail and the Franconia Ridge trail loop). Randy and Jonathan are perfect hosts, who dealt very well with our coffee addiction and brought us additional cups every morning. 'The pool is out of service, under construction. The pool being not open was not shared with us when we booked. They didn’t offer the continental breakfast because there wasn’t enough people staying there the night I was. The staff did their best to bring us some of the food options to our room but it was a very limited selection of items.'
