Vakantie en citytrip naar Anlaby with Anlaby Common

Toilet did not flush strongly enough so we were confronted with the impossible to remove old poop of the previous guest. The receptionist seemed to think it was ours...

Hotel was clean and fresh smelling. Our room was well laid out with plenty of storage and space around furniture so we weren’t bumping into each other. The bathroom was a little tired with a leaky shower pipe, a missing dial front, stained door seals on shower cubicle and a loose toilet flush. Once again plenty of room in the bathroom. We had a corner room on the ground floor facing the street so the traffic was quite noisy but we still managed to sleep well enough. Breakfast choices were amazing and I’ve never seen such a vast offering of items before. All the main cooked items, fresh fruit and fruit salad, yoghurts, pastries, continental meats and cheeses, cereals and plenty of little extras to make yoghurt bowls. I looked forward to my muesli with added chia seeds and cranberries on our second morning as it was so tasty the first day! Staff were all very pleasant, friendly and helpful. My only tiny issue was the cost of the parking on site as I couldn’t find this listed on the website anywhere so that was an extra expense we weren’t expecting. Great stay in a city heaped with truly interesting history and so many breathtaking buildings
