'Spacious rooms but noisy. Airco does it's work but sounds like a F-16 engine. Kingsize and room with queens: both very hard matras. Staff friendly and helpfull (as your bathroom door is (b)locked from the outside ... and forgood diner suggestions). Continental breakfast good. '

'Clean room and bathroom . Comfortable bed. No temperature control in room so it was too warm through night.'

'This hotel undeniably has a lot of charm and character, which makes a stay in Thunder Bay even more memorable. The rooms are spacious, and the decor creates a warm, relaxing and very special atmosphere throughout the property. The only downside of our stay was the last-minute change of room type, made unilaterally by the hotel despite our confirmed booking. I would recommend calling a few days in advance to confirm your reservation details and avoid any unpleasant surprises.'

'The place was sketchy had to go up metal stairs in the dark to get to our room, when entering can see someone broke in before. Bathroom door has been locked and frame broken. The phone in room had no cord to it. The tub dripped all night and the beds felt so old and worn down. Overall not a good experience'

'Room a bit smelly! Had to sleep with the window opened. Breakfast is quite controlled. Front desk will issue a voucher early in the morning and there 1-2 guys custodian who enters the room. No eggs, but everything else was there. Good oatmeal!'

'The room we stayed in was old and run down. The doors to all the rooms slam so hard they can be heard all night. No fault of the hotel but there is a night club across the street that was so loud the music on till 3 am with people yelling and car racing up the street…. Was a sleepless night so we actually checked out at 4am and when we went to our car a couple druggies were at the back door all strung out. Will never return'
