'Did not meet our expectations, for the price expected much more. I would not recommend the Michigan city area for anybody to take a vacation.'

'The couch had disgusting stains and looked very dirty. I had to unplug the refrigerator because it was making a very annoying noise. The air conditioning unit was also very noisy—it sounded like there was an animal inside it. The pool water didn't look clean either. I don't think it had been properly cleaned. The front desk did not make me feel welcomed. Did not give me any information about breakfast nothing no wi fi information.'

'The elevators were down so had to take luggage up to 4th floor. The stairwells are not air conditioned and the 4th floor smelled like cooked cabbage. Opened the room and it smelled like dirty bedding. The staff was all VERY friendly. No gluten free safe food options.'

'This hotel is in obvious decline. I'd give it a poor review, but I had a good nights sleep, so it was comfortable enough and a budget property. It also was one block away from my worksite.'

'We returned from supper and front desk clerk did not even look up from her phone. A yellow bucket, full of dirty mop, water and a dirty mop was right at the front desk Our Shower had mildew growing along the edge Breakfast buffet might’ve been OK if it had been refilled. We asked if there were any more boiled eggs and we received a sigh and the attendant went back to get some more.'

'From the moment we checked in, every employee we encountered was very friendly and willing to help! Our room was clean, and housekeeping kept everything well-stocked. The only area I would suggest for improvement would be to expand the variety of options offered for breakfast. Granted, it was free and I shouldn't complain, but offering some sweet options (pastries, donuts) as well as a few more warm foods would go a long way!'

'It was a good stay'

'A pretty interesting stay. Expedia said check in was at 3, but when we arrived, a clearly posted sign said check in was 4. There was no one in the lobby and I had to press a button to ring for them. The man at the counter was nice enough, but he needed to go check to make sure our room was cleaned. We waited close to 10 minutes in the lobby before he returned. There was no A/C in the lobby and there were dehumidifiers running in the halls. When we checked in I was not asked for ID or a credit...

'The place was clean the staff was nice'

'Very nice place to visit, but tucked away all on its own. Rooms were nice but we were there during a heat wave and room was hotter than the hallway. After trying to cool it down they moved us across the hallway where the AC worked great (why didn't we start there?). Staff was super helpful with the relocate. Restaurant was nice and has a tiny bar area. Walking trail is nothing more than a mowed loop around the property. Rooms were nice and dinner was nice.'

'We were assigned Room 101. Unfortunately, it was not clean. We found several cigarette butts under the bed, which was especially concerning since we were traveling with our toddler. We had expected a clean, non-smoking room. On a positive note, the management was friendly and helpful, but the cleanliness of the room was disappointing.'

'this was more like an Air B&B experience than a hotel experience. Very comfortable beds and bedding, beautiful property, friendly communication with host.'

'Checking in was awful as they tried to sell us a more expensive room with all kinds of excuses. Fine if you want to upgrade us for free, but don’t start with all the nonsense. The rooms are in need of an update. Would not stay here again.'

'97 degrees outside. The A/C in my room did not work properly. Sweating all night as it would not cool my room. All I got at the front desk the next morning was, “Sorry.” Will find a different place to stay on my trip out west next summer! :('

'Nothing was unique about the property, but its consistency always meets our expectations for brief travel layovers. Staff was very good and appreciate the opportunity for breakfast on site.'
