  • Ce charmant appartement, situé sur les pentes de Rydal Fell, offre une vue magnifique sur Grasmere et les collines depuis son grand terrain isolé.


    Le Old Coach House est un appartement meublé de façon traditionnelle, qui a été rénové à un très bon niveau. Superbement situé sur les pentes de Rydal Fell, il dispose de son propre parking. Depuis son grand terrain isolé, il offre une vue spectaculaire sur le lac Grasmere et Loughrigg Fell. Le salon / salle à manger donne sur les jardins depuis la fenêtre panoramique, tandis que la cuisine / salle à manger offre une vue sur le jardin et le lac et s’enduit au-delà. La chambre donne sur le jardin et comprend un lit king-size avec des draps en coton 100%, une armoire ancienne et un lavabo pratique. À distance de marche du centre du village de Grasmere, cet appartement de vacances confortable et accueillant conserve tout son charme traditionnel tout en offrant des équipements et des installations modernes, tels qu'un accès Internet haut débit et Wi-Fi, pour des vacances paisibles, reposantes et agréables la région des lacs. C’est un excellent point de départ pour la marche, avec un accès direct aux collines, à l’Alcock Tarn et à la célèbre «Route du cercueil» directement depuis le jardin. Ambleside, à 3 miles, et Keswick, à 12 miles, offrent une gamme complète d'attractions et il existe de nombreuses maisons historiques et des jardins sur place. Grasmere, célèbre pour Wordsworth et Dove Cottage, a une bonne sélection de restaurants et une grande variété de magasins. Boutique, pub et restaurant ½ mile.

A great cottage, well equipped and spotlessly clean with superb views from the terrace. Whilst the location was fine for us and very peaceful, this cottage is not in the centre of the village of Grasmere. Anybody with mobility issues might struggle with the walk up the hill from the village, and the path to the cottage.

Grasmere is a beautiful little village with some of the best gingerbread we have ever tasted. Chris and Penny has clearly paid special attention to the details and have made the coach house a wonderful place for walkers and lovers for the lakes to stay and all very a reasonable price! We have been staying a The Old Coach House for many years due its location, with walks onto the fells and into beautiful Grasmere from the door. A vast garden with deer and red squirrels to be seen added to the attraction. The new owners have made stunning improvements, modernising it without losing the charm of the old building. It is far better better equipped than many other holiday lets we have stayed in with thoughtful touches that certainly make it a home from home. Everything provided is top quality from the furniture, soft furnishings, kitchen utensils etc. I was impressed by the thoughtful addition of a dog supplies box in the porch along with coat warmer/boot dryer wrack. I enjoyed topping up the bird feeders with the seed etc supplied and spent a rainy afternoon watching them. Christmas decorations and the bottle of wine also very welcome. The Old Coach House is a beautiful, cosy appartment in a stunning location.

The bed was amazingly comfortable- but very high- great for us (and my bad back!) Thoughtful touches for the dog as well. Great amount of info to plan walks etc. Handy to have parking disc available.

Fabulous holiday apartment in a great location. Good base for exploring the Lakes. Apartment was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Lovely to have a bottle of wine and milk on arrival as well as simple things such a dishwater tablets, bin liners, toilet rolls and soap which isn’t always supplied in holiday rentals. Thank you, will definitely recommend to family and friends.

I enjoyed my week in The Old Coach House and was particularly pleased with the modernised bathroom and kitchen. The views from Wood Close are wonderful. For a keen walker like myself, the walk up and down the hill to Wood Close is no problem- but it was too much for my husband, who has some difficulties with balance and coordination. Grasmere is very well-served by buses,so it is possible to manage without a car most of the week,as I did; however, Grasmere has been virtually taken over by tourism over the 50 or so years since I first came here,and the Co-op is the only "ordinary" shop left in the village. I found this rather sad. I have to admit that I found the range of electrical appliances,heaters, sockets,and switches, somewhat confusing , and had to use the "House Folder" every day to remind myself how each thing worked and which switched on where. The instructions are very clear.

Our 6th visit to the Old Coach House which is a pleasant walk from Grasmere and has a gate from the large garden directly onto the woods and fells beyond. The new owners can be very proud of the improvements they have made. From the basket of dog essentials in the porch to the beautifully refitted bathroom and kitchen. We watched deer in the garden from the lounge and red squirrels from the bedroom and kitchen. They have thought of everything and this property is now a delightful and restful home from home set in a beautiful part of the Lake District. Thank you for a sharing this stunning property (and the welcoming bottle of wine). I’m sure we will be returning for many more breaks.
