After a few years going backwards, it seems this hotel took a new air (management) and is going back on track. The location is ideal, yet, they have to do something with the car entrance. On weekends the small street leading to the hotel is used as a parking lot for the theater beside and the cable car facility. Thus, it's a battle to go in or out (taxis needed to get us down one block away).

Great hotel, close to everything. Comfortable bed, nice shower pressure and the toilet had a personal hygiene shower, which I really appreciate.

I didn’t had electricity in my room.I need to leave hotel 3am during the night, couldn’t change my phone, I showered in the dark not to mention I couldn’t use hairdryer. This hotel is not cheap, and for the price they need to have some kind of backup with electricity, so bad. Also I ordered the wake up call, which I didn't received , in the reception they told me they called me when I left the room, and that was two minutes before my taxi arrived. In general, hotel is Ok, but nothing than that. There is the door in between two room, so you can clearly hear people in the room next to yours, speaking, walking. Breakfast is Ok.

I've been staying at Novotel since they opened the facility about 5-6 years ago. Unfortunately, you can tell that COVID19 hit them hard: the facilities are still clean and good overall, but there is a clear decrease on the toiletries' quality and breakfast's available items. On top, this time there was a fire alarm at 7 am on a Sunday. Luckily, it was a false alarm, but the lack of protocols and even of a simple explanation by the staff was disappointing to say the least. Not sure this was my last time in Novotel.

This hotel is absolutely great for both work and holiday. The service was impeccable and the hotel is well situated in town. Its also next to the cable car if you want to do the touristy thing. Spa and pool area is nice. The staff was extremely friendly and very very helpful when I lost my credit card and needed to try retrieve it at a local bank. I won’t stay anywhere else in Almaty.

A good Hotel
We spent seven nights at the hotel. The receptionist's search for the reservation took a long time. The rooms are too small. The room was not provided with towels for two people and this required contact with room service. Breakfast is so variety and delicious with fresh baked goods. The location of the hotel is good. Room price is a little too high

Nice hotel, good location
Nice hotel in a good location. Rooms are comfortable, very clean. COVID safety measures are in place. The cable lift that goes to the hill top is located right next door to hotel's entrance.
