Cozy apartment in the heart of Historic Highland Square

This space is a whole vibe! The unit includes a full stocked kitchen with updated appliances, breakfast nook with bar cart, and one bathroom. Bedroom boasts a comfortable queen mattress, mounted TV, and blackout curtains for privacy and comfort. The tandem room attached to the bedroom promotes an open work space, hanging egg chair perfect for selfies or meditating with space to do yoga! In the living room, the memory foam queen pull-out sofa is available for extra guests.

About The Space

The apartment is fully furnished and designed to be comfortable for longer-term stays.

Most guests are traveling healthcare professionals, medical students, or individuals on temporary assignments, creating a quiet, respectful environment that accommodates varying work schedules.

Patio furniture is not available during the winter months Nov-Mar.

The washer and dryer are in the basement and shared with the upstairs unit. This unit has direct access from inside the apartment, while the upstairs tenant accesses the basement through the exterior side entrance.

About The Neighborhood

Highland Square is known for being one of the more eclectic neighborhoods Akron has to offer. Home to many artists and musicians, the neighborhood is diverse, progressive, and known for being LBGTQIA+ zone.

Within walking distance of the apartment, you can find bars like Ray’s & Mr. Zubs or listen to live music at the Mustard Seed cafe. Take a walk across the street you’ll find the infamous Highland Square theatre. A beautiful historic theatre since 1938, enjoy a movie for $5 a ticket and a drink as they have a full bar inside. Right next to the theatre, you’ll find Square Records where you can buy an album to play at the Airbnb. Down the way you have nightclub Square. Then don't forget to stop by Angel Falls Coffee for a pastry and coffee. Mary Coyle’s has amazing ice cream and the tattoo shop has some pretty great artists.

The home is a a residential neighborhood with storefronts across the street. Garbage trucks come every Monday (Tuesdays when Monday is a holiday) between 7-10a. There is not a house next to the unit but a micro farm and apiary.

Close to supermarkets Mustard Seed, Whole Foods, and Acme. Walgreens is conveniently located within walking distance if you forget or need to pickup anything.

House Rules

This is a duplex with two units with separate entrances. This one being the first floor and the other being on the second floor (above this unit). Before booking, please know that you will have to be mindful while in this space. There are people above you that need to be considered during your stay.

No smoking or rolling inside the apartment.
Smoking on the porch is allowed.
Pets are welcome!
In residential neighborhood and noise will need to be kept at a minimum starting at 10p-11p.
