'Room was clean, staff very helpful and responsive. Included breakfast had a range of options. Due to family activities, we did not get to use the pool, but looked very clean and inviting. Beds are quite firm. AC worked very well. Will definitely stay again the next time we are in town visiting family.'

I went with a group and they were able to not only accommodate about 12 of us but there were other guests present as well. Even with all of us including the guests present for four days, everyone was cohesive and resumed the quiet peaceful aura that was present. 'Beautiful and peaceful surroundings, peacocks walking around, super friendly staff, delicious food. You will need a car or taxi to go anywhere as the hotel is at a few minutes drive distance from Elmina. '

'Room isn’t cleaned unless you ask them to, bit nobody tells you that when you check in. Even hanging the sign asking the maid to clean the room didnt work. I still came back 8 hours later to an uncleaned room. At buffet breakfast there were flies everywhere. This could have easily been solved with mosquito coils bit I only got glaring looks when I suggested it. '

'The best hotel we’ve stayed in so far. The environment makes you feel like you are king or some type of government official lol. I love everything about the place. Beautiful view of the ocean, beautiful view of the community and the mountains. The foods are amazingly homemade delicious. Peaceful, quite and elegance. '

'I have been staying at Coconut Grove Beach Resort Elmina since 1995, when it was brand new. Since then few major changes or renovations have been made. This makes that the hotel is a little bit tired now. However, small upgrades in the last year or so keep accommodation / rooms at an acceptable level and the price level is ok for a beach resort. The location and surroundings of the hotel make up for any defects! Great location on the beach, nice terrace and swimming pool, with open air...

'What an awful experience,where do I start? A few days before my trip I contacted the property. The owner first said he couldn't host me because he was fully booked and asked me to cancel the reservation. After a few exchanges he said he could host me if I booked directly with him (at a higher price than what I had booked). At that time I could no longer cancel my reservation without paying any fee so, after he said he wouldn't respect my reservation I reported the issue to Expedia. Not so happy...
