'Very nice hotel to stay,friendly staff and happy to help when needed,walking into town is about 20 min and if you order a cap do it on time there they are really busy,we did this about a week upfront. Lunch and dinner in the hotel is suitable for VG,V and GLF so this was nice to see on the menu. We be back again for sure.'

'Goede en vriendelijke ontvangst. Een ouder hotel, met wat gebreken. Een souterrainkamer, kamer liep wat schuin dus het bed stond ook schuin. De bedden te zacht. Verder schoon en netjes. Ontbijt eenvoudig, maar goed.'

'Hotel ligt in rustige straat in St.Leonards. Aardige ontvangst, kamer helemaal oké, ontbijt prima. St.Leonards wat verwaarloosd, weinig eetfaciliteiten/pubs. Prima uitvalspunt voor bezoek aan het aardige Hastings.'

Het gebruik van het zwembad is misschien wat minder praktisch: ligt nl in een gebouw op een 150 meter van het hotel.Voor ons is dit hotel alleszins een zeer goede ervaring ...verdient een sterretje meer'

'Good onsite parking within a very short walk to Battle high street and abbey but unfortunately the abbey park grounds were closed but none the less had a lovely pre Christmas one night stay at the Chequers, the food was of good quality both evening and breakfast, staff friendly and helpful, the room spacious and mattress very comfortable but could all do with refreshing but bear in mind it is a very old Inn circa 1478 but what is really needed are blackout blinds on the windows as our room was...
