« Staff were impeccable. Food excellent. Whole standard of the place was top class. Just a few minor points to note & could be improved - bedroom window could not be opened to let in fresh air & badly needed dusting. Not enough electrical sockets & could have been better positioned close to mirror for make up, hair etc. Other than that, it was a beautiful atmospheric and classy hotel and full of character. »

« Rooms here are great, each one is quirky in their own way, and a lovely touch to have radio playing in room as background music on arrival. The 2 ladies that greeted us on arrival were welcoming and showed us all (4 guests) to our rooms. Evening meal in the bar was great too, cold and frosty outside, the pub reminded me as something out of The Holiday!!! »

« If you want a relaxed break this is a great hotel to book, just come back from a weekend away. What a joy to stay somewhere with such amazing staff. Room was lovely very clean comfy bed. Great breakfast we also dined in the restaurant and bar which was really nice. Had a three hour spa to finish off our stay. Will definitely be back. »

« The staff were courteous on arrival and gave us a tour of the beautiful building before showing us to our room. The house and surrounding environment were superb. The room was comfortable and clean albeit a little too warm at night. Our breakfast was tasty and varied served by a very polite young lady. We enjoyed our brief stay very much and would recommend it to others. »

« Robert greeted us at the door and was friendly. The room we were shown to was perfect, bed was comfortable and amenities clean and tidy. The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Would recommend and if we visit Knaresborough again, definitely would stay. »

« Très bien situé : 10 min de la gare, 20 min du centre-ville à pied. Très joli endroit avec de nombreuses attentions pour le confort du visiteur: planche à repasser et fer à disposition dans le couloir, le plateau à thé très bien garni, la chambre et sdb spacieuse. Le personnel est très aimable, le petit déjeuner excellent et copieux. On peut laisser les bagages à la réception en toute sécurité. »

« Very comfy big bed, shower and taps took ages to get hot, but eventually did. Lots of tea and coffee options in room together with a fridge with wine and snacks if required. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly. Bit strange going in and out at back of the building, but happy to recommend as somewhere central to stay. »

« We stayed in the double delux room and it didn’t disappoint. The hotel is exceptionally clean and very well presented. There was water, tea and coffee along with juice, fresh towels and fruit available all day. The staff are very friendly and made sure our stay had everything we wanted. Very impressed with this lovely hotel and would definitely stay again. It’s very well situated with a short walk in to the centre. »

« Deux nuits magnifiques dans cette demeure magique. Le personnel est aux petits soins avec les clients. Le petit déjeuner est très complet. Quand à la chambre, elle est très spacieuse et décorée magnifiquement à l'anglaise. On s'y sens tout de suite à l'aise. Les jardins mêmes en novembre sont superbes.
