'Tarbert is such a sweet little town. The castle ruins were magical. The hotel itself - very convenient, easy parking, incredibly nice and very hardworking staff. The meals were SUPERB! The room was in good condition. The bed was a bit on the soft and saggy side. Great view though over the water. Hallways are clearly under ongoing repairs. The dinner dining area is quite nice. Breakfast area could use a refresh (especially that first booth seat). Overall, the Anchor Hotel was a great 2 night...

'Stayed with grandchildren in a great room. Staff extremely knowledgeable and accomodating. I did not like the breakfast dining experience. No back ground music the food was not great and you coukd hear a pin drop. No one talking at tables it felt awkward. Otherwise a great stay. I will stay again it was very pricey but location is why '

'Small, friendly, helpful & clean. Room very comfortable with everything you would need for a short stay. Only comment was that there was no long mirror in the room. The one in the assessable room was in the toilet/shower room & therefore became less assessable when the toilet was in use plus became very steamed up & unable to be used. Such a small thing so not a problem & we would definitely use this hotel again. Dinner was very nice as was breakfast with plenty of choice. Loved the little bar...

'lovely hotel, we really enjoyed our stay at the Lamlash Bay hotel, we were in one of the top floor rooms so the slanted roof was a bit of an issue for me but I managed to navigate without too many bumps. We really enjoyed the food on offer in the restaurant and it was nice just to chill out in the bar or take in the views outside, Top quality food, location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. '

'Room 309 was comfy and spacious for what I needed to attend Bute pride . Only negatives despite it been a pride weekend on the Isle of Bute was one of the staff who was in his 60s with glasses gave me an intense stare and look of disapproval during my stay at the Victoria hotel Lager cans as rubbish left in a wardrobe in room 309 and not enough milk and sugar in the room to make a coffee . I’d rate the hotel 6 out of 10 score wise as it was nice but dated in room 309 and I spotted a few damp...

'We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Ardshiel! Everyone was so warm and welcoming and incredibly helpful. Food and drinks were great. Perfect base for exploring the Campbeltown area. Our room was clean and very comp. Would absolutely stay again!'
