'The Snug gives you exactly what it advertises: a bed, a shower and a toilet. That's all. But I didn't need more because in a town like Galway, I was out by 8:30 and back by midnight. The location is absolutely where you want to be, right on Quay Street where a lot of great pubs are, but you can be in the Claddagh and by Galway bay within minutes as well (to spot some seals!). The staff was great too. The only complaint I can utter was that fire alarm going off twice in the first night because...

'We stayed here to weather the storm with the power being out at home. Could not be more impressed with the accommodation here. We expected from the two star rating that it would be basic but all the fixtures and fittings were of a good quality and generally it was a pleasure to stay here. 'The property was unique in that it is above a pub/restaurant. The room was very spacious, but the carpet was obviously stained and needed a good shampoo cleaning. The room itself was clean in every other way. It had all the amenities one would want in a hotel room. Breakfast was not included. The location is absolutely where you want to be, right on Quay Street where a lot of great pubs are, but you can be in the Claddagh and by Galway bay within minutes as well (to spot some seals!). The staff was great too. The only complaint I can utter was that fire alarm going off twice in the first night because some idiot smoked in his room, it took quite long before it was taken care of. Besides that, fantastic week, fantastic stay. "
