'Can’t beat the location of this small motel. We could see the surf from our room. But the rest of our stay was a bit disappointing. Tiny room with hardly enough room for our two suitcases, a snack bag in stead of the advertised fresh breakfast, a bed that had definitely seen better days and VERY thin walls. We could hear every word said by the neighbours. We were glad we’d only booked for one night. '

'The host was very friendly. We had a fluent check-in. The room could use an update, but everything is there and it is clean. Full breakfast was complimentary and inclused home-made pastries. We had dinner across the street as recommended by the host and loved it.'

'How refreshing and renewing spending a week in a beautiful home surrounded by forest. The view was expansive and we were not even 10 minutes away from the ocean. The house was very comfortable and well stocked with everything I needed. Our host was responsive and very helpful. Our stay could not have been better!'

'Location is the highlight of this Gualala studio. The stairs faded quickly into the spectacular views. This is a special retreat from the ordinary. Miren is a fantastic host, her knowledge of the area, attention to detail & warm hospitality all a highlight of our stay. We spent 3 nights & explored nearby, but the Anchor Bay beach below this studio makes this location a place of pure contentment, no need to roam. We hope to return.'

'We enjoyed our stay in this casual, comfortable home with an ocean view. Primary bedroom on the second floor has the best view and the ocean waves were most audible from that room. The large property is fenced which was helpful, given we had an active 3 year old with us. Deck with its long picnic table and benches plus numerous chairs made outdoor time together easy. Plus the weather was perfect! Thank you for the lovely weekend retreat!'
