'The room was basic, but nice. It was towrds the end of the hall by the door. The first night was quiet, but the 2nd night I kept hearing the door slam (enough so that I could feel it in the bed). We did not ask for a handicap room, but got one, so no tub, just a shower which was fine. I did not have breakfast, but my husband said there was not much choice and it didn't look great. I am not sure about that as there seemed to be some variety when I peaked in the dining area before leaving. ...

'Staff was absolutely stunning. Any issues we had got instantly resolved! Having amazing conversations and relatable times with staff allowed an easy and homely stay for our week at the red lion. Each person was personal and if a situation were to raise it was instantly resolved!'

'Yesterday we had a grumpy receptionist (young woman) who made us feel unwelcome. If we hadn’t paid already we would have left for another motel. Last night and this morning there were other receptionists who were nice and helpful. For this price we had a nice room, comfortable beds, okay breakfast, ease of stores and restaurants in walking distance. Although we feared loudness, I think the no locals rule prevented that. All in all it was a fine stay with exception of the welcome.'

'Cleaning staff could have been a little more observant for this multi day stay. No floor mat getting out of the shower on day two. Did not empty the trash cans on day three. '

'No batteries in the TV remote but was too tired to go to the front desk. Was a little disappointed that there was no roll away bed available but I didn’t request one before arriving so it wasn’t really their fault. '
