'Everything was wonderful. The room was beautiful and extremely comfortable. The staff was great. Extremely attentive and friendly. It was our 56th wedding anniversary and they sent a nice chachuterie board to our room. Every evening the maid came by with a sweet treat for each room. The property is very nice and right on the bay. Very relaxing atmosphere . I would definitely consider returning to the Amaka Lodge '

'The location was tranquil, the room was fantastic and Danny, the owner was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant stay. The room is equipped with everything you need to feel at home, and in the morning I received a gorgeous breakfast basket which included local fruits, a bagel and freshly squeezed juice. 'Great location, rooms were clean but small and old fashioned. Electric shower head with loose wires. Price compared to rest of Costa Rica overpriced. Location was great however, close to the beach and start of tours to Corcovado. We paid around 100 euros a night for a standard room. You have to take some stairs for some rooms up hill so keep that in mind. '
