  • The Old Mill is een uniek appartement met 2 verdiepingen in een omgebouwde molen in het hart van de historische stad York. Het pand beschikt over uitstekende functies, waaronder de originele bakstenen muren en houten balken en is volledig gerenoveerd.

The apartment was very cute and lots of fun extras, like the keyboard (our son is raking piano lessons, so he was excited to practice). Perfectly located for restaurants and shopping marts. Only drawback was, you better be an early riser and late nighter because the alley is quite loud. Would still stay again, despite the noise.

A well located apartment

The apartment was brilliant, fantastic location and very quirky. Bed was comfy and very good amenities. The only thing I would say is it could do with a deep clean, under sofa bed was dirty and cobwebs behind furniture etc. The main parts were clean but just needs a deep clean every now and again. We also had an issue with the chest for the quilt being padlocked so someone had to come and open that for us. But would stay again!

This property is decorated so cute and it is the perfect location to everything! Easy check in and attentive owners.

An entertaining and quirky property in a great location in the center of York. We loved the decor and the signs on the wall--a juke box, a couch which is the front end of an old car, and many more. My favorite sign was over the short hallway from the bedroom to the bathroom. showing the name of the hallway to be: "Streakers Passage." You keep finding new signs and interesting decor every day.If you want to visit York, and don't want to drive a car there, this is the place to stay. It is on an out of the way side street in the city center, a short walk from the Shambles, the Minster, and the Viking Museum, and a stroll from the city walls, all of which are worth the visit.

Quirky

It's a little oasis in the hustle and bustle of york. The place is full of wonderful items that go together really well. It was very clean and warm. We really enjoyed our stay.

2 Night Break

A great little place to stay, perfectly situated and good value for money. It was a busy weekend in York with it being the Ebor festival but we weren't disturbed at all. Everything is where you need it within walking distance and the street next to the accommodation has restaurants from all over the world to suit all tastes.

Excellent location

A cosy property in the heart of York. The location is excellent with most places only a 10 minute walk away. The property was very clean and welcoming. Checking in and checking out was simple with excellent communication provided before the stay.

Great Trip To York

The apartment was in a perfect location. We were able to reach all the sights by walking and enjoyed the night life of York. The welcome package was an added bonus to start our stay

Perfect for a short stay

Perfectly located in amongst everything you would ever want to do in York. Fantastic & funky apartment, lots of space with great little kitchen and cooking facilities. Coop & M&S food in walking distance.

This is an antique lover's delight with modern amenities in a perfect York location. It is like living in a design magazine! It's quirky, trendy and extremely comfortable. Thanks for providing accommodations as memorable as York itself.

Awesome York Stay

What a wonderful stay. Right in the heart of old town York. Yet set back away from the road ways. I park at q-park just around the corner. Definitely a worthy place to consider when going to York.

Very Quirky !

The Old Mill was a very quirky apartment. Very different from anywhere else we have ever stayed. There were three of us - it was more suited to two people as when the sofa bed was made up it took up most of the living space. Great location.

Stunning, quirky apartment

We absolutely loved our stay at the old mill. Apartment was stunning and very quirky. Location was perfect, only being a stones throw from shambles and local restaurants ect. Apartment had everything you need down to Bluetooth speakers and coffee machines. If we ever go back to York I'll be looking to stay here again.

Amazing apartment

This place has the wow factor. Very quirky, lots of thought has been given to the interior design. Very clean throughout and extremely comfortable. Right in the centre of York with many bars and restaurants close by. Highly recommend staying at The Old Mill. The alleyway next to the apartment is a bit noisy at night time as it backs onto a pub and rear of a restaurant but wouldn't put me off staying here again.

Perfect location... Almost.

This location was perfect for a ramble on the Shambles of York. Everything you might want to do is a short walk from your doorstep. Property was clean, and not too hard to find, with an expert cab driver. The interior was fun and quirky, with everything we needed for a two night stay in York. My only criticism is that it was loud. Much of the night on the Sunday we arrived, there was loud talking outside, and lots of garbage/recycling noise at all hours.

Weekend break with my wife

We booked a weekend stay at the old Mill. We were amazed at the apartment. The photos on the website look great but still don't do it justice. So spacious and luxurious and the location couldn't be better. Step out of the alley straight into the shambles. We love York and visit most years. We won't be staying anywhere else in the future. The only negative was the parking. The carpark is only 5 minutes away but the pizza place round the corner park their cars right in front of the apartment door.

Wow this gem of an apartment was amazing! We wanted somewhere memorable to celebrate our silver wedding and this hit the brief exactly! Practically on the Shambles in the city centre in amongst many of the eateries, pubs and bars. The apartment is spacious and gorgeous and so much fun. All the little touches to the decor really make it special - feels luxurious and cool, like your actually in New York not old York! Communication by the Hosts are great and the replies are quick. Everything is thought about and the info inside about the apartment is really useful and accurate.(also check the big metal cupboard - All kinds of useful food stuffs that might save you buying a one off item -ie vinegar or salt and pepper!) We only opened it on our last day and some things would have come in useful for when we ate in). Instructions to the property are good ( just need to note the outer door has been painted and is now grey not blue as in instructions) Other than this it was spot on. Pub over the alleyway putting the empties out in the morning may be annoying for some but didn’t bother us. Such an amazing place to relax in - I didn’t want to leave! Would definitely book again.

Just like the pictures

Lovely place presented just like the photos. Great location but that is also a negative re noise. I believe others have also mentioned it but you actually get very little sleep due to the smashing of bottles from the pubs near by emptying bottles into the larger bins. Also a lot of noise from people out in the alley right outside the windows. Not just a once occurrence. Both nights we were awake from about 3am with the bottles, people and then the construction guys who started at 5am that were working on the property in front. Not this hosts fault and they present it well but thought people need to know
