While this is a nice place I wouldn’t recommend a winter visit. We arrived after 9pm on a February night when it was snowing. This was not a last minute booking, it was done over a month ahead of time. Upon arrival there was no mat for boots and the floor was incredibly slippery. There were 5 carbon monoxide/fire alarms that were all beeping intermittently because they disconnected from the WiFi because of the weather. It was incessant ALL NIGHT long. We reached out to VRBO and were told nothing could be done until the next day. I myself have this type of alarm and all that needed doing was the owner to shut off the app from their phone. Which wasn’t done until the next day after 7am. Needless to say no one slept. We left for a party around 10am and upon returning all of those particular alarms had been removed. There were regular fire alarms as well that are simple battery operated ones. The only thing offered was an apology. Late check out without an extra fee would have been nice. in my opinion there was plenty of time for the owners/caretakers to prepare for what there knew would be a snowy visit. The place itself was nice, comfortable beds, plenty of space, and the ocean was at the end of the street. However, coffee cups were dirty, the 1/2 bath door didn’t close properly, and there wasn’t a rug for your boots and because of the snow it was slippery and wet on the floor.
